NIPPING / COPYING PRESS - BOOKMAKING BOOKBINDING LETTERPRESS PRINTING EQUIPMENT
7" x 11.5" nipping press. Has a slight split in the wooden base. As shown in the last picture, but this only appears to be on the surface and doesn't effect its operation. An adjustment hole in one of the metal arms has been damaged and will no longer hold the pin, this isn't a big deal as the wider adjustment can be used with extra packing. Overall it is in good usable condition. Advertised elsewhere so please bid if interested to avoid the auction being ended early. There is no F- one of the W.S and 2 of the 4,s are not from this set but will be included in the sale. Will be posted using a cardboard box. Wheel is 4 inches in diameter. Handle has nice patina. Pretty much offered as found. Polish up the brass head if you like. Maybe you will find a name. Mid to earlier 1800's?
