This hasn't been used in probably 20 years. It's ... morebeen in the box and preserved well. The cosmetic look of the tester is very good. There is really no scratches or cracks in the front face. This comes with all that is pictured. A manual, A Realistic Guide To VOM's And VTMs. book that was put out by Radio Shack, your positive and negative prods, etc. I don't know much about these things, but I wanted to make sure it read a signal from a D battery. This runs on one AA& one 9-volt battery. I removed the rear cover and discovered that one of the AA contact points has some deterioration/battery residue. like a battery was left in there and started to rot. When I removed the cover, there were batteries installed. But I placed two batteries and it works fine. So the deterioration didn't effect the battery terminals. The 9-volt terminals are clean with no damage. there is a picture highlighting the terminal I am describing with the battery residue-4. So I verified that it does work. But how it works, that's a different story. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask and I can try to answer. The box pictured is a little worn. But in decent condition for something reaching 40 years old or so. I am shipping Flat Rate Priority. If are close to me and would like Parcel Post.
