Manual or CNC Bench Top Milling Machine Project. This is not a complete milling machine. It is an XY Table and Z axis slide of the highest quality and precision construction. It would be an ideal start for a bench top CNC or Manual Milling Machine. There is no spindle or motor included. The machine started out as a Eurospark Sinker EDM that was made in England by Agemaspark Ltd. In 1979. It was purchased by my employer. A vocational school and used very little, mainly to remove broken taps from student's projects. It had electrical issues from the beginning and could never run for long before another one appeared. We only had a temporary manual and could never get an electrical diagram, so the machine repairmen had limited success. When the electronics totally failed in the early 1990's the machine's hour meter only had 285 hours ... moreof run time, which is the time the EDM was functioning. That is not many set-ups and very little movement of the slides. When the machine was sold to a local machinery dealer in the mid 1990's, I was able to purchase it with the plan being to make a bench top milling machine out of the mechanical parts. Shortly thereafter, I purchased a Bridgeport milling machine for my home shop and the project was shelved. It has been carefully stored for the past twenty years and kept covered with all of the machined surfaces sprayed with LPS-3 at regular intervals. It is in excellent condition. From the research that I have done. It appears that Agemaspark contracted with Elliot in the UK to provide the mechanical elements of the EDM. It looks identical to an Elliot Mini Jig Borer.
