BENCHMAN CNC MILLING MACHINE with 4th axis+ TOOL CHANGER
I offer a nice Benchman XT cnc milling machine/ machining center. It comes with 4th axis indexer. Tool changer(20 tools I believe) a good selection of toolholders. Also encludes the origional computer and control software windows based. I also have the Cam software sold for it but you will need to buy licence as it on another computer. I have a origional manual and some documents. I am a watch and clock maker we have other(small) cncs I bought this but never learned to use it or learned the software to br honest its way to much machine for me and takes up room I badly need. To the best of my knowledge it works fine it was running when I bought it. I can demo it jogging, computer works fine but selling it as is no returns as I I dont know how to run a program or provide tech support. I offer it with a low reserve. A-axis has been checked for accuracy and works great. Moves fast and has very good torque in slower step speeds. I had this listed on eBay before. I sold allot of these mills and I had to use it for a project(making more parts for machine conversion) I have put about 50hrs on this machine after conversion. Everything worked great and never had to make adjustments to the machine. Prior to that new stepper motors, belts. pulleys, VFD, Gecko G540, turntable, power supply and many other components were all installed when I did the conversion. For Sale: 1996 Haas VF-1. I have performed meticulous maintenance on the machine. It has ridiculously low spindle hours for a CNC that is 18 years old. See attached pic of spindle hours(only 10k hrs) Machine is very accurate and ball bar test is included. It is accurate to.0004" on a 12" circle. See attached ball bar tests. You will not find another machine of this era that was maintained as well and has documented service records. I will happily provide all service records to anyone who inquires about them. I also have videos of machine running. Excellent coolant pressure, smooth tool changes and quiet operation. Since 2011 I spent over 10K on maintenance and service. Some of the stuff I replaced. Spindle(brand new only 2 weeks old) X Axis servo. X Axis cable. All way wipers. Nobody does this, but I did as it protects ball screws. ... moreAll new Plexiglas doors. All metering jets All relays(and provided back ups as they are nice to have) Spindle belts. All filters. Rebuilt WayLube system. All pressure switches New transmission fluid. Machine has. 7500 spindle. 2 speed transmission. Low gear is great for cutting steel, tons of torque. High Speed Machining(710 IPM) 4 th axis wired. Excellent coolant pressure. 15HP. Comes with. 20 CAT 40 holders less than year old rated to 20k rpm HRT-7 4 th axis. Works awesome serviced in 2011 Kurt 6” double vise used but works great Kurt 6” single vise. Less than year old It comes with scratches and dings that should be expected with an 18 year old machine. There is one small ding on the Z axis way covers. Machine is used but in excellent mechanical condition and comes with lots of service documentation. See below for all the details. I provided a Renishaw ball bar test done in June of 2013 which showed the ball screws were in fantastic shape and is accurate to.0004” on a 12” circle! Now I just copy my g-code files onto a USB key and pop them into the machine while browsing the web and watching YouTube in the background. I did the conversion and added the 4th axis so I can answer any questions about it but if you're unfamiliar, LinuxCNC is reliable, fast, easy to use, and very configurable. This machine has had a pretty easy life. Mostly spent in a prototype shop at Northrup Grumman in California and then as my hobby machine for a few years. I have replaced the air valve and the y-axis servo with new parts and other than that it has been bulletproof. This machine is completely ready to go and you can go from zero to having a serious machine shop in one transaction. It is currently running and under power and I will give in-person or video demonstrations of anything to serious buyers. I will also give some instruction on setting it up at your location if needed.
