I am not sure if we got this new or used original. Or it was custom made, but I remember that we pay a lot more for what I am asking here, it just stay in box at the storage and it looks OK, just some light rust at the steel top bracket parts, but no effect at the movement of any parts) Here is all the information I got: This small stage it looks like was made very well heavy duty and it has many.many small precision parts. Unfortunately I don't have any detail information about this! I don't know who manufactured this and for what reason. US Corps of Engineers Compass lot. Two hunting case compass units marked on the back"USCE" dating to about WW I era(1918) One is in a brass case and one is a nickle case. Both open and close properly and both compass needles function correctly. The nickle compass glass is broken but the piece is in place and holds the needle properly. Could be repaired. BT ENGINEERS LEATHER TOOL BAG CASE NO 6 1989
This auction is for the tool bag shown in the pictures. It is the type supplied to BT telephone engineers for carrying their tool kit. The case is made from thick leather and has a substantial zip. The inside has several fixed size pouches and two rows of slots and a leather strap to allow for flexible positioning of tools dependant on their size. As can be seem from the pictures the item is quite worn and the leather is scuffed in many places. On the corners some of the stitching has come away but the leather is still in tact so repair should be straight forward. There are some water marks on the interior pouches and paint spots along the top. It is approximately 44 cm wide by 29 cm height with a depth of 12 cm. This fabulous quality vintage"Neslein" Engineers Tool Chest. Of 8 drawers, comprising 5 short and 3 long is in"as found" condition and has not been repaired or restored by us. The cabinet is made from solid oak and has taken on a super depth of colour and patina over the years. The back is veneered plywood. The oak carcass has substantial dovetail joints to the top and the bottom all of which are solid with no seperation. The cabinet was never designed to be a"fine" piece of furniture. But was practical and meant to be used. Hence, there are marks, scratches, stains and scuffs to the body and top of the ... morecabinet, as you can see from the pictures. All the drawers slide in and out fine.However, one or two are loose on their runners and drop slightly when the one below is removed; however all are sound with no splits and all of the original handles are present. The green Baize draw linings are in good order. The front fits correctly and the lock works fine with its replacement keys.It also slides in to the bottom as it should. The leather handle is well attached and sturdy. The"Neslein" transfers are still both intact and have a good colour with very only minor damage. All in all. This cabinet is in good usable condition and it certainly has very many years of service left to give. It measures 46 cm(18 inches) wide. 18.5 cm(7 ½ inches) deep and stands 31 cm(12 inches) tall. We take great care to describe our items as clearly and honestly as possible. Including any faults or flaws that we may see. The level sticks out an additional 1/4 inch on one side. Looking through the eye hole. There is 1 short graduation line, one long graduation line, and 5 short graduation lines under that. The bubble of the level can be seen at the top. I don't think I am describing this correctly. But I don't know much about this item. There are no manufacturer markings. The front door still bears the M&W logo and also the drawer still has some remnents of it also. Vintage"Neslein" 7 Drawer Oak Engineering Cabinet. This fabulous quality vintage"Neslein" Engineers Tool Chest. Of 7 drawers, comprising 5 short and 2 long. The cabinet is made from solid oak and has taken on a super depth of colour and patina over the years. The back is veneered plywood. The oak carcass has substantial dovetail joints to the top and the bottom all of which are solid with no seperation. The cabinet was never designed to be a"fine" piece of furniture. But was practical and meant to be used. Hence, there are many marks, scratches, stains and scuffs to the body and top of the cabinet, as you can see from the pictures. All the drawers slide in and out fine and all of the original handles are present. The green Baize draw linings are in decent shape. The front fits correctly but i do not have the ... morekey for it. The latches work perfectly as they should. It seems like the original leather handle has been replaced and the new one works just fine in my opinion. You will get a better idea of the condition by looking at the pictures. All in all. This cabinet is in good usable condition and it certainly has very many years of service left to give. The cabinet carcass is made from stained oak and is dovetail jointed. It has taken on a super depth of colour and patina over the years. The cabinet was never designed to be a"fine" piece of furniture. But was practical and meant to be used. Hence, there are marks, scratches, stains and scuffs to the body and top of the cabinet, as you can see from the pictures. All the drawers slide in and out fine.
