It could use a good cleaning and lubrication. I have no way to test it so it is sold as-is .There are 6 collets included. All appear to be in good used condition several have some light discolouration to the machined surfaces but are still excellent and ready for use. Sizes includes 1/4"-3/8", 3/8"-1/2", 5/8"-3/4", 7/8"-1", 1"-1-1/8". There is also one collet in the chuck but I do not know how to remove it so I can only guess the size. Please see pictures.

Monarch 10EE Manual Lathe 12.5" x 20" w/ VFD, 5HP AC Motor, running condition
Monarch Model 10EE Lathe The Monarch 10EE is one of the best precision manual lathes ever built. Do a google search and see what the experienced machinists say. This American built iron puts the competition to shame. Here are the details. Swing = 12.5” Travel centers = 20” Manufacture Date = 10-1957 This Monarch 10EE runs however the spindle bearings sound noisy and may need to be replaced. The spindle will run to 2500 RPM. Each axis will run in both directions and at multiple speeds. The long belts are older but in good condition. The flat belt is new. There is a box with some odds and ends such as knobs. Handles, original dial indicator, and more. The paint looks to be epoxy based which is good but it was brushed on and not sprayed so there are brush strokes. This lathe has undergone a retrofit from the original tube style drive and DC ... moremotor to newer technology units. The new motor is a Marathon Electric AC Inverter Duty motor with 5HP. It is run by a DuraPulse VFD on 240VAC power. Manual is included for the drive. The original control lever for the spindle is not hooked into the drive. This can be done by adding some switches at the end of the machine. Currently the machine is controlled from a box located on top. There is control for JOG/RUN. FWD/REV, and a speed adjustment knob in addition to drive power on/off and coolant pump on/off on the box. An E-Stop button is located lower on the machine where the operator stands. I have tested all of these switches and everything works! Included with the machine are some goodies to include: Cushman 3 jaw chuck- Operates properly and is in good condition. Set of jaws is installed the chuck and another set of jaws is included. There is a chuck key included. Tailstock– In good working order. Looks like it was repainted with the lathe. Steady Rest– In good condition but not completely ready to use. All of the jaws move as they should however the nut you tighten after closing it is missing. The bolt and all other parts appear to be present. Looks to be original paint.

End Gearing for a Monarch 10EE 1943 round dial all gears look in good shape no nicks. Bad spots, excessive wear. Both gears have 63 theeth. the two hex head bolts dont go with the End Gearing it takes 2 studs and nuts with washers, I will be putting them in the box before I ship.

Monarch 10EE Back Gear Motor Gear Box 1943
Monarch 10EE Electric Drive Control Motor Gear Box. 10EE 1943 Ser# ee-22757, I diassembled the gear box to make shure that it was ok what I found was the two smallest bearings needed replaced( I only show one in the pictures) and there was a little wear on the driving clutch and the mating part, picture number 3) The flat belt pulley has a chip out of it and is cracked it would work long enough to make another or weld it up. This Gear Box would clean up and with a little work make a good reliable part.

8" Horton-Skinner 4 Jaw Chuck with D1-3 Cam Lock Mount, from Monarch 10EE Lathe
A local company is in the process of re-locating its machine shop facility. In doing so. The maintenance shop is being liquidated along with any surplus tools and accessories from the machine shop. As the pieces are released for disposition they will be listed for sale. I will do my best to describe the items accurately but sale is final so please feel free to ask any questions you might have. Offered here is an 8" diameter Skinner/ Horton 4 Jaw Chuck. 10 003 08 D03D. This chuck has a D1-3 Cam Lock Mount and had been used on a Monarch 10EE tool room lathe. This chuck should also be suitable for use on other model lathes that accept D1-3 tooling. I inspected the chuck as closely as I was able. The Chuck Body, Jaws, Slides and scrolls all look to be in good condition. The one thing I did notice is that on one of the scrolls the guide shoe ... moreseems to be a little worn, which allows for a little movement in and away from center. I don't think it is an issue but I wanted to mention it. Skinner Horton is a division of Cushman and this is a good quality chuck. Please note, there is no chuck wrench with the chuck.

You are bidding on a really nice steady rest that I thought was for a Monarch 10EE lathe. It has come to my attention that this may be a South Bend steady rest. It is similar in size to the 10EE steady rest that I had. So I would think it would fit a 13" South Bend. As you can see in the pictures, it is in excellent condition. Rare. Just restored ManSon lathe from the 1940's. Made in California. Replaced wiring and switch. Replaced cable with a 3 prong for safety. But still retains an old look. New enamel paint. Metal parts are polished and oiled. Weighs about 6 pounds. 9x7x4" It has the number 340 stamped onto the frame under the end cover. And on the gear rail it has C71316 stamped on it. This lathe really works and even has an auto-feed! Can make cuts finer than a human hair. Would make a great Christmas gift! Free standard shipping. Vintage Monarch 10EE Metric Gear Change Set for Square Dial
Up for sale is a metric gear change set for Monarch 10EE lathes. This replacement set will allow you to go from cutting standard threads to metric threads. This set was originally purchased with the intention of outfitting a home machine shop. The previous owner never got the chance to get the shop running and I've been helping with the liquidation/cleanup The set is for a square dial lathe and has every gear but the 30 tooth(16DP) gear. The change gears/transposing gears are in good used condition with the tooth counts engraved on them for easy identification. These gears include an original invoice from when they were purchased off ebay 3+ years ago. I didn't include the price but it was fairly expensive. Im starting them at a high price but accepting offers and will consider the fact that the one gear is missing.
