It could use a good cleaning and lubrication. I have no way to test it so it is sold as-is .There are 6 collets included. All appear to be in good used condition several have some light discolouration to the machined surfaces but are still excellent and ready for use. Sizes includes 1/4"-3/8", 3/8"-1/2", 5/8"-3/4", 7/8"-1", 1"-1-1/8". There is also one collet in the chuck but I do not know how to remove it so I can only guess the size. Please see pictures.

This chuck is in okay cosmetic condition and good working condition- the jaws turn smoothly. SJOGREN 2A-D1-3 SPEED CHUCK with 26 2J COLLETS for Monarch 10ee
This is a Sjogren speed chuck for 2J collets. This chuck was put into a friend's Monarch 10ee lathe and the runout was negligible at less than.001" This chuck functions perfectly. There are no gouges in the plastic hand rail. The three camlocks on the back are all aligned correctly as evidenced by the runout. Since some of the models of the Monarch can run to 4000 RPM this specific Sjogren can go to 4000 RPM. Although it is a difficult object to photograph. I was able to get the warning engraved into the side of the speed chuck stating"Not for use in excess of 4000 RPM" The diameter of the hand rail used to draw the collet into the chuck is smaller than some of the Sjogren speed chucks and may account for this specific one to be run at high RPMs. This Sjogren does have what one would expect in the way of a patina but it ... moreis in excellent shape in every way! Included are 26 2J collets as follows, largest to smallest: 1 5/16, 1 3/16, 1 1/8, 1 1/16, 1, 15/16, 7/8, 23/32, 3/4, 11/16, 9/16, 1/2, 31/64, 15/32, 29/64, 7/16, 3/8, 3/8, 23/64, 21/64, 5/16, 17/64, 1/4, 17/64, 1/8, 3/32. 25 collets are shown in the picture but the 3/4 collet is in the speed chuck. The starting price is low if you compare it to other speed chucks available, especially when considering the nice selection of 2j collets! There is also an adaptor that can be bought online that will allow running 5C collets in this 2J speed chuck. The 2J collet is much stronger compared to the 5C. NO RESERVE! Shipping is for CONUS and the box will be heavy. It will be more expensive to ship to AK or HI. I acquired this Sjogren and the collets for a Monarch 10ee project that never happened and now it is time to pass it on. Please ask any questions. Turret Tool Post for a MONARCH EE 10ee Lathe
This is a used turret for a Monarch EE lathe and was made by Monarch. It installs by unbolting the compound slide where you loosen it to pivot it. And remove the compound and replace it with this and your ready. The last 3 pictures are of this tool post on my EE. It is in excellent condtion other than a mashed oil cup as the picture shows. This is a used face plate for any lathe with a D1-3 camlock spindle. Actualy. I can't tell that it has ever been used. It was made by Monarch for the EE lathe. It is 11" in diameter and 1.180 thk. w/ 4.460" wide Tee slots. It is in excellent condtion with out a mark, dent, gouge or groove in it anywhere. Monarch 10EE Lathe Speed Control Potentiometers
These are Ohmite speed control potentiometers from a 1944 Monarch 10EE Lathe. Please note: I attempted to check the resistance of both potentiometers. For the Armature potentiometer. Resistance measured across GF2- E2 goes from 0 ohms to 600 ohms at the mid-point of the rotation and stays at 600 ohms for the remainder of the rotation. For the Field potentiometer resistance measured across E1- F2 stays at 0 ohms for the first half of the rotation and then increases to 200 ohms for the remainder of the rotation. Monarch 10EE Precision Toolroom Lathe retrofit w/ AC Motor Drive + Tooling
The Monarch 10EE is one of the best precision manual lathes ever built. Do a google search and see what the experienced machinists say. This American built iron puts the competition to shame. Here are the details. Swing = 12.5" Travel centers = 20" Manufacture Date = 10-1957 This Monarch 10EE lathe was purchased over 15 years ago as a project but we ever got around to doing anything with it. We have tested it since pulling out of storage and it does run however the spindle bearings sound noisy and may need to be replaced. The spindle will run to 2500 RPM. Each axis will run in both directions and at multiple speeds. The long belts are older but in good condition. The flat belt is new. There is a box with some odds and ends such as knobs. Handles, original dial indicator, and more. At some point this machine has undergone a retrofit ... morefrom the original drive and motor to newer technology units. The motor is a Marathon Electric Inverter Duty motor with 5HP. It is run by a DuraPulse VFD on 240VAC power. Manual is included for the drive. The original control lever for the spindle is not hooked into the drive. This can be done by adding some switches at the end of the machine. Currently the machine is controlled from a box located on top. There is control for JOG/RUN. FWD/REV, and a speed adjustment knob in addition to drive power on/off and coolant pump on/off on the box. An E-Stop button is located lower on the machine where the operator stands. I have tested all of these switches and everything works. The paint looks to be epoxy based which is good but it was brushed on and not sprayed so there are brush strokes. It appears the machine was not completely torn down for the painting. We were going to tear it down. Blast all the parts, paint, and reassemble. This would make for a very nice looking finish. The paint was and can still be used as-is. Monarch 10EE complete head
This is a complete Monarch 10EE round dial head. The spindle is very nice. All the internals appear very good, the spindle nose is in excellent condition. The machine apparently spent most of its life set up for one particular job, and the spindle adapter remained on the machine for most of its life. I put a 50 millionths indicator on the internal taper to test run out and it shows about 50 millionths, which is factory tolerance. I found no shake in the spindle. The head can be bolted down and it's ready to run. Just put oil in it. I took many photos, these photos show the condition as found, uncleaned, all I did was drain the oil. The photos should be an adequate description other than my test. Weighs 200 lbs. You can pick up, I can create a crate, or strap it to a pallet. Monarch 10EE round dial tail stock
Complete round dial tail stock. The front side as shown in the photos. Has a flat spot milled into it where a tracer stage was bolted to, this does not affect the operation of the tail stock at all. The quill is in very nice shape. As is the fit in the tailstock. From the pictures, you can see that the quill is oil stained, that is not corrosion, I did not polish it, I didn't want to change the fit of the quill in the tailstock. The lead screw has corrosion on it, from water saluable coolant sitting on it over the years. It will need to be replaced. The nut is good. The handles and the dial are all really nice. I disassembled cleaned and inspected the entire piece, and the only two problems are the milled flat and the lead screw. The taper in the quill is in beautiful condition. I have for sale a nice Monarch 10ee super precision lathe. This lathe has the variable 4.000 rpm headstock spindle, 12 1/2" x 20" travels, threading, taper attatchment, 3 jaw chuck, tailstock, etc. I have recently gone through the carriage and taper attatchment and installed all new bearings with new SKF bearings. machine is missing the coolant pump and the door cover for the coolant pump. I was going to install a new coolant pump however I never needed it. Coolant pumps are available OEM from Monarch or an aftermarket pump is easily installed for under $100. Collet closer with hand wheel it was on my Monarch 10ee lathe 1943. The measurements are 27 1/2 long. 1.368 dia. tube, 8.875 dia. hand wheel, tube length from stop to collet threads 24 5/8, hole thru center 1.065. The threads on the end are good it appears to be a good verry useable closer. The threads fit the 5c collet threads. You will need a adapter for your Lathe spindle nose. I GOT THIS LATHE ON A TRADE. IT IS VERY CLEAN INSIDE AND OUTSIDE. IT HAS A NEW CHUCK( 6' 3 JAW. IT IS VARIABLE SPEED AND HAS A 1.062 SPINDLE BORE WITH A TAPER ATTACHMENT. IT WAS MANUFACTURED IN 1965. S ARE 47672 THE WAYS ARE NICE. ALL LEVERS WORK AND IT IS A SQUARE DIAL. IT IS 3 PHASE 220. AND I HAVE IT WIRED UP SO YOU CAN TEST IT. THE ONLY PROBLEM I HAVE FOUND WITH IT IS IT WON'T RUN IN FORWARD. IT RUNS IN REVERSE AND THE VARIABLE SPEED WORKS. BUT WHEN I SWITCH TO FORWARD THE RELAY KICKS OUT AND KILLS THE MOTOR. I THINK I HAVE NARROWED IT DOWN TO A RELAY BUT I KNOW VERY LITTLE ABOUT ELECTRICS. WHEN IT RUNS IT IS VERY SMOOTH AND QUIET. IT ALSO HAS A COOLANT PUMP THAT IS IN WORKING ORDER.
