I hooked it up to a 220 volt line and it seemed to work OK.I picked this up from a Jeweler who brought it here from Europe I think it is from Switzerland. Marshall/Peerless Watchmakers or Jewelers Lathe w/ Foredom motor
I found this lathe in my father's garage. This is a nice. Original nickel plated Marshall lathe that is likely from the late 1940's or 1950's. One end of the lathe is marked"Marshall" the other end is marked"Peerless 2 Made in USA" The original nickel plating is is generally very good overall. The nickel on the bed has some very fine pitting here and there which is typical for a lathe which is 70 years old. The T-rest is missing. Both the headstock and tailstock spin. Both pieces move along the bed and hold tight when locked. The motor is a Foredom motor and operates via the foot control. This motor has a forward and a reverse. The black rubber belt is in place, but will not turn the headstock. I am not sure if it is too old or what, but the headstock does turn, just not by the rubber belt. There are two collets ... moreincluded with this package. Both are marked"Peerless" one is marked"35" and the other is marked"3" Both of these are threaded and appears to fit this unit. This is mounted on a board that measures 19 inches in length. The height of the unit is 7 inches and the bed measures 12 inches long. The rheostat and motor actually work. The electrical cord is worn and I would recommend redoing the plug wire connection and also the motor wire connection. As for the alignment, I cannot say. I am not a lathe person. Antique machinist lathe unusual Off set tailstock watchmaker jewelers tool look
I have for auction an early watchmakers offset tail stock. It is unmarked with the exception of the number 567 on the front edge of the tails stock. It is very well made it has got to be manufactured. I found it in a sale in Elgin iLL. the same town the elgin national watch factory was located. It is 3 1/2' to the center of were the tailstock center is located. It will fit a lathe bed that is 2 9/16' wide. Other than paint loss. The only real issue, it is a minor issue) is there is some thing in the hole at the top hole for the locking nut that tightens the dead center( see last picture) The threads in the hole look a bit worn, or stripped.Any information of the maker of this lathe part will be appreciated. Watchmaker Clockmaker Jewelers Lathe Complete made in Germany Unusual Tailstock
Here we have a jewelers lathe from a retired watchmakers estate. It has a tail stock that I have not seen before. It screws in and out much like a micrometer. Although it is not calibrated. This lathe is complete with the stand and foot control. It is working. The tumbler on the motor has to be adjusted a little when putting into reverse. The motor also has grease cups. The stand does have the remnants of a weld repair on the bottom. This does not seem to affect anything. The overall condition is dirty with a little surface spotting. The lathe plugs into a two position socket that is marked motor and light. It has a spring type belt. The belt seems to work only in the position it is in or the bigger end of the pulley. It is loose on the smaller pulleys. The only markings I can find is"Made in Germany" on the end of the lathe bed. ... moreThis will weigh about 15 pounds when packed. Vintage Unimat DB200 Jewelers or Hobbyists Lathe w/ Box Made in Austria
For sale is a vintage Unimat DB200 Jewelers or Hobbyists Lathe. Made in Austria. Is in the original wood box. Box has scuffs and stains. Wood is starting to split a bit in a few areas. Lathe did not come with any belts. I plugged in and the motor runs. Lathe does not have a tail-stock, no cutting bits, and does not have the bars/tools to adjust the 3 jaw chuck. I could not adjust the chuck at all with my hands, it appears that you need a couple of small bars/tools to open and close. Lathe has a good amount of oil staining that needs to be cleaned, heavier in some spots such as the cross slide and end. Should up pretty good with some elbow grease. I don't think this lathe has been used in many years. I am not sure what the key that goes into the top of the headstock is supposed to do, I tried to turn it a little both ways but I could not ... moreget anything to move. Unknown Maker Lathe Tailstock The tailstock is in used condition and shows wear with scratches. Rub wear, metal wear, finish wear, oxidation, surface ruts, paint wear and loss, areas of residue, dirty areas, discoloration, and other general wear. Be sure to check all of the 12 pictures above and the additional pictures below this description of the best idea of the cosmetic condition of the item. If you have any questions or would like to request more pictures or measurements. Do not hesitate to ask. I am unsure of the maker of the tailstock. The only markings I could find is ST'D. 69570 on the front flat part of the base. I believe that the tailstock is for a 6" swing lathe as the distance from the area that sits on the lathe bed to the center of the tube measures right at 3 inches. Up for auction is a Vintage Watch Crafts watch maker jeweler lathe motor. It is made by the C E Marshall co Chicago IL. It is a 115 v motor and it is 1/10 of a horse power motor It has seen some use. There is wear and paint loss. IT does run fine. It has a forward and reverse switch. see picture 8) It stands 4 1/2 to center of the shaft. There is a brand new plug. I put it on. The old plug was cracked. The electric cord is in ok- shape. It has some cracks in the cloth and the rubber casing. And I can see a couple of spots near the plug where wire is exposed. It will need to be replaced. It should be an easy fix. The leads from the motor are in the bottom of the stand base. It runs fine, there are no electrical shorts yet, but I would replace the cord before being put back to use. Please see pictures for condition. Vintage Unimat Mini Lathe Jewelers Watchmaker Working
The lathe seems to be in good working order and the motor runs smoothly and strong. The tailstock& tool carriage turn easily. Shows some light rust and corrosion. And dirt, but nothing to inhibit the operation of the lathe. I was reluctant to"clean it up" As I am am fearful of doing damage to it, and will leave that to whomever the lucky winner is of this item. I do not know too much about these things. As this belonged to my father, and found it in his basement shop several years ago after he passed. This is being sold AS-IS. And just as found. In the last picture there is a part of it where the wood has separated from the base that holds a round bar. I am sure that is in an easy fix.

This cross slide is a precision piece of equipment in pristine condition. I bought it new as a back up for my Eguro Jewelers Lathe. And never took it out of the box. I have made thousands of small diameter tight tolerance parts on my Eguro using a cross slide identical to this one. Type in Eguro on Ebay and you will see this same cross slide adapted to a Schaublin SV-70 jewelers lathe. This is a GREAT cross slide that could be adapted to many different machines, the only limitation is your imagination. The upper slide has 2 3/8" travel. The adjustable rear upper slide has 1" travel. The cross slide has 3" of travel. The cross slide measures 3.320" wide, 7.100" long.
