VINTAGE LATHE TELESCOPIC STEADYREST-15" SWING -BIG BORE - LOGAN CLAUSING MONARCH
This is a STEADYREST for vintage a 15" swing lathe. I'm pretty sure it's from an American lathe like a Logan. Monarch or Clausing etc. there are some ID numbers shown in the pics) This Steadyrest is in great shape with no damage or repairs, but the jaw arms have been replaced with Nylon ones so you would have to make some brass ones(very easily done on this rest) This one has a big bore for larger work. The dimensions are shown in the pictures. No bed clamp included I'm afraid. Don't miss this one! This is a large beefy lathe steadyrest. Not sure what lathe this fits. But it is much too high(and heavy) for my harbor freight 7x10 mini lathe. Might go with N 8x20 or similar. Vintage Hardinge Cataract Lathe Steady Rest 7" Swing M6-326 Steadyrest
Vintage Steady Rest from Hardinge Catatract Style Lathe Marked M6-326 Up for offer is a nice Vintage Steady Rest from a Hardinge Cataract Style Lathe. Not sure if this is an original Hardinge part or not. Marked M6-326 in casting as shown in photos. Came off of a Hardinge lathe(not included) in picture numbers 9 thru 11. Steady rest is vintage. Thus it shows normal wear from use and storage including small scratches, scuffs, marring and some discoloration and grime. Should clean up well. The measurement from the base of the steady rest where it would mount to the lathe bed to the approximate center is 3 1/2" Thus making it used on a lathe with a approximate 7" swing. Diameter of thru hole is approx. 2 1/2" Base measures approx. 1 5/16" x 1 5/8" Protruding piece that goes between the lathe bed measures approx.7/16" ... morePaint is overall good and looks original. Screws turn in and out well. All components look good overall. Has threaded shaft assembly to connect to lathe bed. Shaft measures 4" in length. Auction includes steady rest assembly only.
