Delta cat no945 wood lathe leg set for 1460 or 930 lathes
Up for bid is a setof Delta cat no 945 wood lathe legs. Legs are in great shape with no cracks. Breaks or repairs. There are two small tapped holes in one of the legs(shown in picture two) that were used to secure the power cord for the motor on the inside of the legs. The holes are clean and would fill easily if you needed. I also have two sets of the original boards that I will throw in if you want to pay the shipping. The first set of boards is for the 12" 1460 wood lathe. They are in good condiiton. The bottom board has a slight split on both ends that go maybe 6" but are not seperating. This would fill easily or use as is. The structural integrity is not compromised by any means. They do not have any extra holes drilled in them. The second set is for the 11" 930 lathe. They are in not as good of shape but are useable and ... morestill very straight. There are extra holes as you can see in the pictures but are still sturdy. The only issue I can see is the large gouge has a split in the handle that can be glued and clamped. The skews look like they have been used but the gouges look like they have original grind on them. Increasingly rare set of Cole Jaws for the Nova Lathe Chuck Series(except Titan) This set has an integral set of dovetail clamps that allow this one set of jaws to hold a bowl type turning at either the bottom or the open end. Extremely handy during the touchup and finishing phase as the bowl can be flipped to either end without changing jaws. In very good condition with all 8 rubbers. Screws and the required Allen Wrench. Dovetail section has an outside diameter of about 3-7/8" and an inside diameter of about 3-1/4" when chuck is closed. Overall outside diameter of clamp plates is about 9-7/8" when closed.
