Milling attachment for 10 inch Rockwell, Delta or Atlas metal lathe
This is an Atlas milling attachment for their 10- 12-inch lathes that has been adapted to fit a 10-inch Rockwell/Delta lathe. I adapted this attachment when I replaced my Atlas lathe with a Rockwell and discovered that Rockwell didn't make a milling attachment for their 10-inch lathe. Photos 8 and 9 show it attached to my 10-inch Rockwell. Note that there are no degree marks on the adapter plate- you'll need to do the Y-axis setup with an indicator or angle blocks. I used it for years(until I got a milling machine) and it works very well. It is in good condition except for the vice portion which has suffered at the hand of an unskilled/uncaring previous owner(see photos) The damage doesn't affect the operation. It is missing one nut for a gib screw but is otherwise complete. It may be returned to use on an Atlas lathe by removing ... morethe adapter plate- included are the Atlas clamping bolts and pins. This is a finely crafted compound XY cross slide device to be attached to your Delta lathe but would probably fit other lathes with the same bed type and swing capacity. There is no play in the X and Y slides. I originally got it with the lathe and have used it on ocassions. It did not come with the cutting head which I had manufactured at a machine shop. Large Metal Spinning Bowl Turning Lathe Headstock
Couldn't save the whole lathe but I did manage to save some parts. This is a massive headstock with z 3.25 inch spindle running in Timkin bearings. The spindle is not locked up. It turms by hand. But I cannot guarantee the condition of the bearings since I could not run it under power. It was driven by 6 v-belts that went from the 4 speed transmission that was mounted above. I have included a picture as it was mounted on the lathe but you are only getting the headstock and two faceplates not the transmission or the headstock stand. The transmission is available in a separate ebay auction as is the tailstock. One of the faceplates is threaded to screw onto the spindle and is 12" in diameter. The other bolts onto the first faceplate and is 15" in diameter. Mini Micro Lathe With Dayton Electric Motor Metal Wood w/Wood Box Nice Piece
You're bidding on this mini lathe with the pictured Dayton motor. As pictured it's in excellent cosmetic condition looking to have seen only limited use. The motor runs smooth any quiet. Pic 5 shows where the pulley alignment is off a bit. When I got it the motor was not attched to the lathe and I'm not sure if I've hooked it up correctly. It measures 10" long X 2" wide.
