The clock runs and keeps accurate time. The red/ silver power loss indicator does move but tipping the clock back does not change it from red to silver. The plastic case has some minor damage on the two top corners and the rear of the feet appear to have been altered. Back marked US Time 997 8?0; Face has WDP(I believe is for Walt Disney Productions) To date this. I researched Timex at Timex.com. This watch was probably made in the late 1940s, I'm guessing 1946-1949. The reason is that in the 30s they were Waterbury Clock and in the 1940s during World War II, Timex was renamed U.S. Time and they converted their factories to focus on wartime production. They became Timex in 1950 with the creation of the world's first inexpensive but reliable mechanical watch, which is when they started conducting'torture tests' frozen in ice cube trays, spun for 7 days in vacuum) and the slogan'takes a licking and keeps on ticking' ... morecame about. With the war ending in 1945 and the name change in 1950, I deduced late 1940s. Condition: Face of crystal has one large scratch and a couple minor scratches and the band is worn inside and out.
