Onan CMQD 5500 Commercial Mobil Power Generator
Here is an Onan 5.5kW diesel generator. The unit has 7892.4 hours on it. I bought it from an employee of a government agency. He was a mechanic in charge of all of the support equipment. The unit has been fully maintained to government specifications. The oil filler tube had a hole worn into it from the frequent oil level check. Oil leaked all over the inside of the housing. The engine never ran dry and the tube was repaired. In true government fashion the unit was taken out of service and a new unit was purchased. I cleaned the unit changed the fluids.
