Winco 10000 watt generator, Natural Gas/Propane, Wisconsin Air Cooled engine
for sale is a very nice generator. its rated at 10KW propane. 8KW on NG. it is run by an ultra reliable Wisconsin air cooled twin cylinder motor. it is electric start. it is a 3 phase, but you can use it for single phase(6600watt) it turns over, and sputters when it starts, but I think I had too many regulators on it and the propane was not getting through, but I'm not exactly what you'd call good with mechanics. if you need it for natural gas, just flip the built in regulator and it will work. I bought this for my cabin, but quickly realized that this is a little too much for a tiny cabin. but I love these Wisconsin engines, so I couldn't pass it up. plan on buying a much smaller(and more sensible) unit with the proceeds. it weighs about 1000lbs if I had to guess. its bolted to a skid with castors to easily move onto to the bed ... moreof a pick up or trailer. Made in the USA the Generac 5000 Watt generator runs strong, it could use a good cleaning and a tune up. A good cleaning with an oil change. New gas, spark plug was changed a couple years ago. It has been sitting its entire life in the garage and only seen a few storms that lasted no longer than 3 days. This generac runs like a champ, smooth and on the louder side. It has a few years already, but runs strong as it does have a reliable Briggs and Stratton engine. Nice breaker panel on the side, large wheels for easy transport and a five gallon tank of gas. Also I am not sure on the amount of hours but I have owned the machine since new and it been used a total of 8 times. Highest bidder taken the generator home! As Is Sale. No returns. It was investigated by a local shop(see seventh image for their invoice) Their comments were. we) reconfigured the fuel supply and found the engine turns over but does not make spark to the spark plugs. This is a combination of points being out of adjustment and the magneto coil wire being shorted to the ... morecontroller housing. These items may be repairable but it will take more of(our) time at a minimum. We may reach a point where we need parts and parts are obsolete. If the magneto coil is internally shorted then repair is unlikely. If we continue and we can fix the spark issue. We would then be able to check the voltage outputs and the generator end. Since the unit hasn’t been able to run, we haven’t been able to check anything beyond the engine issues. Wincos are solid units and parts for old ones are scarce. Use this for parts or fix it. Up for sale is my Dayton 40 KW generator. This unit is a beast! I used it for years up until July 2013 when I sold my shop. I used it strictly for my mill and lathe, as they were 3-phase and my shop only had 2-phase 240 volt. I maintained it well and never had any issues. It only has 1558 hours on it! The oil still looks brand new, it amazes me how clean this motor burns! It is powered by a V-8 Chevrolet motor that I believe to be a 305. Though I will provide casting numbers to be sure. It still has the factory intake manifold so if you wanted, it would be simple to convert to gasoline or to change the jet and convert to propane depending on your application, though I had it attached to natural gas. This generator is built into its own frame. It has its own battery for starting the engine and also has a built in battery charger to maintain ... morethe battery. When this was installed at my shop it had an enclosure built around it that I removed and discarded. Though I kept the mufflers, of course, which are included in the sale. Since being removed from my shop. It has been in a covered, cold storage area, free of water.
