For sale is a 45kw DELCO generator. The unit was assembled by NEPCO Inc. ESP) Emergency Sheltered Power. I really do not know much about this unit. It is a fully contained unit with the bottom being a fuel tank. I am not sure of the gallon capacity but the entire bottom 2 feet of the unit is the fuel storage. My guess is at least 1000 gallon. The unit has only 316 hours on it. I have never started it and i am sure that it would need some work to get it running. I believe that it came from a at&t station. Thanks for viewing! This is a GM/Detroit 6-71 mated to a Delco head. This generator is rated for 20,000 hours before rebuild. It has less than 1.000. I bought this from one of the big bell companies. With the intent to finish it and resell, but I'm too busy to finish. It has been extremely well maintained. The wiring will need to be finished, and there is a issue with the throttle. It ran fine two years ago. If you manually advanced the throttle, now it will not start. It turns over with ease. And smoke comes out, but not enough to start. It has been in a covered shed the entire time I've owned it. It was in a enclosure before that. Please call me with any questions. I would prefer local pickup only. I will try to give you the best explanation I can. its about a 1979 model v12 Detroit powered kato 750kw generator made in makato mn and lived its life there in the water treatment plant. the city workers said they would fire it up and help out the city when it hit peak output on the regular system. it comes with a beat up cooling tower. Big honking mufflers, with flexable short extensions, a few pipes for water lines and the 8 spring pads it rests on. its heavy just the generator must weigh 14000 lbs alone. we can lift it on a trailer for you if you buy it. it was stored inside until yesterday when we picked it up and we have it covered now. I will part it out if no one shows interest in it. we are located in southern mn.
