Vintage Distressed Double Door Flush Surface Mount Slide Bolt Lock Spring Chain
Penn Antique Restoration. Vintage Distressed"Stanley" Steel Spring-Loaded Flushbolt. Heavy-duty. Vintage, spring-loaded door flushbolt made by, Stanley Works, of New Britain, CT sometime during the first half of the 20th century. The bolt comes with a 24" long pull-chain, and 1 surface-mount catch/keeper. All parts are made of steel. If you are not familiar with this type of hardware. I t's the locking mechanism installed on one of the doors in a pair of double doors. For the purpose of keeping one door stationary, while allowing the other to swing freely. We salvaged the bolt from Southwestern Pennsylvania. At the point of salvage. The parts were dirty and rusty(see last photo) Much time was spent thoroughly cleaning them in attempt them to bring them back to their original splendor. Up for auction this Vintage Cast Iron Brass Art Deco Door Slide Bolt Deadbolt. It’s in very nice vintage condition with nice details and patina. It appears to be cast iron with brass plating as you can see it through the rusty surface. It’s spring loaded and the button pops out and locks when the bolt is pushed down. Then depressing the button releases the bolt and it goes back up. It all works properly but could use some lubrication. The case measures approx. 6 7/8” long and 2 3/16” wide. Offered are 2 antique R&E Mfg. Co. cast iron door dead bolt lock latch catch surface mount for parts or repair. P lease look at photos before bidding. These door lock latch are 3 3/4" X 2 7/8" X 1" The catch is 3" X 7/8" in good working order, there are no keys, they are locked with a button from inside and can only be unlocked on inside with the button, 1-is marked R7E MFG.
