This auction is for a mixed lot of 18 antique and vintage flat keys. They range in size from 1 1/8" to 3" long and appear to be keys for padlocks and lockers. A couple are brass and the rest are steel. A few of them are marked with a number and manufacturer's names of Champion 6 Lever. Sykes, Slaymaker, Bohannan, Sargent& Greenleaf and Yale& Towne. A couple have some minor bends and light rust and pitting, but all are in good used condition otherwise. All for one amount. Low minimum bid! This auction is for a great brass lever(solid brass) padlock from the Sargent& Greenleaf Lock co. with original marked key. As you can see in the photos. Both the key and back of the lock are marked with the number 3. The lock is in perfect shape with no dings, dents, or scratches and works just as it should. This lock is unique because the shackle opens on the right side instead of the left like just about every other lock ever made. This lock appears in Franklin Arnall's book'The Padlock Collector' Sixth Edition on page 100. Lock number 43. In the brief description of the lock, it says'Sargent& Greenleaf, Inc. 11' and I am not sure if this should be interpreted as this was considered lock 11 in their line of padlocks, or if the number 11 in that instance replaced the number 3 on the back, and so the coded key ... moreneeded would be a S&G#11 key. Vintage Sargent Eight Lever Padlock w/ One Key
Offered here is a vintage eight lever padlock with one working key. The lock seems to be made of steel as a magnet sticks to both the body and the shackle. Most of the original brass plating is intact and can be viewed in the photos. The lock measures approx. 2-1/2" x 3-1/2" x 1/2" and is stamped"EIGHT LEVER" SARGENT" on its face. The key works in the lock as it should causing the shackle to spring open when it is inserted and turned. The key is stamped"SARGENT" on one side and"5214" on the other. There is also a shackle collar and chain which can be viewed in the photos. Payment is expected through Paypal within 48 hours of auctions end. Rare vintage Sargent 5307 Lever action level cap wood plane
I believe this is a rare. Hard to get, vintage Sargent lever action level cap# 5307 block plane. The lever action cap is just way too cool. The mark on the cutter is the oldest mark Sargent made. I'm pretty sure it's a type 1 cutter mark. It does have the horseshoe lever underneath for the cutter? The japanning is really nice. I think the pictures help with the description. It does have a paint drip on the lever cap and there are a few scratches on the slide. It does have the adjustable front slide.
