Measuring 22 1/2" tall, 17 1/2" wide, and 3 1/4" deep, this Furnace Door swings open on original iron hinges and holds closed firmly with a stationary handle. They are large(3 foot x 3 foot) heavy(10 kilos) steel panels which came from an old cold war army base. They were part of a massive shelving system. I have quite a few available at just £35 each. Each panel is painted in original institutional grey paint with fairly random numbers stencilled around the perimeter. To enhance their cold war chic. Vintage Antique Collectable Industrial Factory Fire Door Weight Counter Balance
Very rare and hard to find. Terrific shape. This is the real deal! Very heavy for its size. This will show well. When was the last time you seen one like this? This is what was used by the industrail factories in the early 1900's for fire control. This was attached to a large metal door. If there was a fire. A piece of lead melted on the cable that held this. The weight fell and the door slammed shut, thus containing the fire so it would not spread as fast to other rooms in the factory.

Antique Cast Iron Stove Door - Industrial Steampunk Machine Age Salvage Art
This is so cool! If you like"rusty gold" this piece is for you. It's an old door off an antique cast iron stove. What a great decor item inside or out if you're into steampunk or just good'ole salvage from yesteryear. The detail in the iron work is phenomenal I'll let the pictures speak for themselves. I did not try to clean it up in any manner other than to wipe it off with a damp rag to remove the surface dust and dirt. Many will appreciate it as is. Some will want to see if they can remove some of the rust and get it a little cleaner. Please note there are also lighter and darker spots throughout and I'm not sure if these color variations can be remedied with a good cleaning or not. I call that character. I am really not sure what to call these. They might be large shelving brackets but I think they went in the corners of a large door or entry way. This auction is for the pair of them. Each one measures 21 inches by 21 inches by 31 inches across. One of them is in perfect shape the other has two cracks in the ornate section however is still solid. I thought about welding those two parts but thought I would leave it to the next owner. I was going to put them in the corners of a door way but they were just to large for that entry. There is a little rust, but nothing significant. With a knob, the assembly easily turns, spring back. The two face plates are in okay condition.
