Up for auction is a Yale pennant with Hebrew and Latin writing on the seal. I am not sure what year this pennant dates too. I have not been able to find another one like it on the internet so I assume it is a very rare pennant. There are 4 or 5 moth holes in this pennant but otherwise it is in very good shape. Montgomery(1910–78) was a collector. Pewter dealer, and consultant before coming to Winterthur in 1949. He was appointed associate curator and executive secretary of the Winterthur Corporation in charge of the operation of the museum. In 1954 Montgomery was appointed director of the museum, and was instrumental in the establishment of the Winterthur Program in Early American Culture. He later took the post of Curator of the Garvan Collections at Yale, was a member of The Walpole Society, and the author of respected books on pewter and American federal furniture. The multi-page booklet is 12 pages total and is a spare parts price list. It has been folded in half and has a small tear on the front cover. Outer edge, half-way up the page. Inside. The booklet shows wonderful high-quality litho images of everything. There are four pages of pricing with no images. Otherwise all pages are full of images. The booklet is marked September 1947. The other item is one page and shows a variety of Yale products on one side. And on the other side"Directions for installing the chain container on the Yale Midget King Roller Chain Hoist.
