For your consideration is this great old foundry mold that measures 27 1/2" across. This wooden foundry mold is from the early 19 00's. The foundry used these molds in a sand casting process to produce the items in cast iron. The molds were made by specially skilled craftsmen. Whose precision woodworking, made perfect replicas of the cast iron piece that their customers requested. This foundry mold is a great old piece of American Industrial history, wonderful for industrial urban decor. We have other foundry molds, please check our other listings. They are cast in a soft metal that I think is zinc or lead. They will easily bend to conform to a round surface such as a pole.Oddly.They are plated with a heavy brass and then plated with nickel. The outside is overall in very good shape with a few normal scuffs and scratches. The inside is in good shape. Includes(8) shelves and the feet for the bottom. All of the doors open and close well and the glass is in good condition. The only issue I saw was that the unit is missing the top-front panel. See photos below for more details on physical condition. We plugged it in and in immediately started up. The compressor and condenser fan immediately started up and after a few minutes I could feel the unit start to cool down inside. It started at about 67F inside and soon was under 50F. This set is only for a"Right Hand Reverse" door: one that pulls open(swings away from the room) And ends up on your right side door. Heavy-duty. Vintage, entry door lockset made by"Yale" of Stamford, CT during the second half of the previous century. It consists of 2 brass knobs, 2 brass escutcheons, 1 steel mortise lock with a brass faceplate, 1 brass anti-theft collar, 1 brass strike plate for the door jamb, 1 steel split spindle with a setscrew for connecting the knobs, and all 12 installation screws to fasten all parts to the door. All brass parts are solid brass, not plated steel. This is a high-quality, commercial-grade lockset. There was no mortise cylinder included with the set. This is the round. Barrel-like piece that goes into the lock, ... moreabove the knob on the exterior side, and engages the lock once a key is inserted into it and turned. You could pick one up, brand new, with 2 keys at your local locksmith or hardware store for less than $20. T he mortise lock is locked by pushing the bottom button on the faceplate. And unlocked by either turning the interior knob or using a key(once mortise cylinder is installed) Once you turn the interior knob or key and open the door, if you do no not press the top button on the lock's faceplate, the lock stays in the"locked" position and the exterior knob cannot turn. This is a great security feature and perfect for many industrial and commercial applications. This old industrial electric door or telephone bell is fresh from an estate here in eastern Connecticut* There is no maker's mark anywhere that we could find. The bell is shaped like a"Cowbell" It is made of nickel plated brass and measures 6" by 4-1/4" at the bottom by 5-3/4" tall. The bell has a great tone and resonance* When wall mounted. The bell projects 7" out from the wall* The mounting board measures 5-5/8" wide by 12" high. The coil cover and the mounting board are made of oak. There are some paint spatters on the wood. The nickel plating on the bell is lightly pitted in places and worn down to the brass in other places. Although the coils for the bell looks to be in good condition. We have not attempted to test the bell ourselves.
