Time-honored events going back to at least the 18th Century, consisting of the Navy, Marines and Coast Guard. Formal military dining has historically been a way to communicate, to celebrate special events and a way to promote unity and camaraderie. The Mess Night, although a military formation and a formal event, is also a great deal of fun. Some of today's protocol and script is not exactly matching the past. Today's Mess Night is a bit more regimented and programmed but basically reflects all that was included in the old days ... moreand also reflects some of procedures used during the days of sail. This is a vinatge US Coast Guard Chief's dress combination hat. It has a vinyl white cover and probably dates from the 1960's to 1970's. It is a size 7 1/4 and is in excellent condition. LOT of Vintage Coast Guard Medals and Other Items - Good Conduct Medal, others
Up for auction are some Vintage United States Coast Guard medals and other items. Included is what you see pictured. The medals are connected on the same bar. But the smaller one seems to have lost its little metal ring that holds it onto the ribbon. The larger medal is a good conduct medal, and the smaller one says"National Defense" on the front. The rectangular item is a small pocket knife, and has the coast guard logo on the front of it and has a belt clip on the back. The service ribbon bar at the top appears to be in good shape, though I have no idea what they were given out for. All of the items have wear and show their age. I am by no means an expert on military items, so if you have a question ill do my best to answer it. Thanks for looking!

Ownership changed from the Walker family, and the company became a Division of Alco Standard Corp. Then, on November 16, 1976 the Cleveland Plain Dealer reported that Walker China Co. had been sold to Jeannette Corp. In 1981 the company was listed as Mayer China Plant Two Inc. In 1982 there was no listing for the former china plant.

The item being offered here is an original machine manual for the SINGER 20-U Industrial Sewing Machine. It is copyrighted in 1981. There's also a booklet of instructions for Installing the Belt Guard on the 20U and 188U machines. The manual has some notes along the border but the inside is clean and complete and undamaged. Contains 36 pages. Other booklet is a foldout of about 6 pages. Here's that book that you're missing when you bought that machine at the auction! The tag from the machine is also with the manual that has the machines' serial numbers on it. It is# u 832705514. Found in the boxlot that I got at a local auction. In very good. Up for auction is this vintage bike part. This was removed from a 1940's Schwinn Royal bike that I am parting out. The serial number on the bottom bracket is 332909. Please see the photos to rate condition- condition is as shown. This is the chain guard from that old bicycle. It is extremely rusty. It is straight without dents except at the bottom lip- it has a few ripples. It is solid. But there is some metal pitting. This bike was really left to the elements outside. Overall length is 27-3/4" This was removed from a 26" bike with balloon tires. I can combine shipping. Thanks for looking.
