Collector’s Piece Wonderful Spanish Sword made for the Royal Corps of Halberdiers of Queen Isabel 2nd of Spain(Royal Guard of Isabel II of Spain) This is a museum piece that comes with a leather scabbard and was forged in 1861. The scabbard is from an earlier period. All its parts are in good condition and look great. The sword is an item of high aesthetical interest and has a fascinating history behind it. The model dates from 1848. When Lieutenant General Francisco Martínez Campos suggested Queen Isabel to change the Royal Corps of Halberdiers Corps swords’ design, as he considered them inelegant in order to be sported with the gala uniform. So in July of the same year the queen approved the manufacturing of 325 units, but in the end only 320 were forged. ... moreAfter Isabel 2nd was dethroned and went to France, the Royal Corps of Halberdiers gave 109 swords to the royal armory and another 53 were handed over in the frontier between Spain and France. This means that 158 swords were lost. Maybe secretly stolen by their owners and also in battles and raids. This sword is one of those units and has surfaced again with all its beauty and elegance. It is a very attractive weapon, decorated with nice engravings among which the Fleur-de-Lys motives and the Castille and Leon shield stand out. The scabbard is also embossed with the Fleur-de-Lys and has survived to our days in great condition: the leather is greatly preserved and the metal parts look shiny and polished. Up for bid is a Vintage Original WWII Battle Dress Blouse Jacket in beautiful. Excellent and clean condition. No stains, rips or tears. All buttons are present and in good condition, sleeve ends are clean with no fraying, collar is clean no heavy wear marks. Size is a US 40. Original insignia was nicely sewn on by hand with very fine little stitches. The isle of ELY. So it's called, is an area in England near Cambridge and saw an extensive amount of activity in WWII. But the manufacture name has been mostly removed and I can only make out the last 2 letters which are“ AL” The Pommel has the Flaming Bomb U.S. Army Ordnance Dept. stamp. The Blade is in good condition and has no nicks or chips in the blade. And the Blade needs a good cleaning. The leather handle is in excellent condition and has no looseness or movement and is nice and very tight. The leather sheath was found with the M3 Knife and is in very good condition. The M3 Knife measures about 11 5/8” inches in total length. 1964 Fender Precision Bass. Original condition except for stunning Fiesta Red body refinish, by Fiesta Finishes™, using traditional nitrocellulose lacquer and the same techniques as Fender in 1964. Note that this bass left the Fender factory in 1964 as a Fiesta Red Custom Color Bass. The original color has been restored, and the original Mint Green Guard looks absolutely stunning on this bass. The neck finish, decal, and frets are original and in good condition. The bass features a Clay Dot/Brazilian Rosewood neck. The electronics are original, including pickups, pots, tone capacitor, and wiring. The bridge is original, the tuners are original, the neck plate is original. As mentioned, the special Mint Green Guard, used only on Custom Color basses, is also original, as is the aluminum shield under the guard. Strap buttons are original. Note ... morethat the original Fiesta Red finish in the neck pocket. And pickup/control cavities has been preserved as well as possible, so that it's original color is documented. The bass plays and sounds wonderful. The original pickups are healthy and measure 11.9K Ohms as a pair. The serial number is L28XXX. The bass weighs 8 lbs. 9 oz. WWII ARP Warden's Brass Bell British Home Guard / Civil Defence, Gas Attack
Description Stamped ARP arond the rim. This brass bell is marked 39(1939) and the makers initials J.B. It would have been used in WWII to signal the'all clear' after air raids. During the War German Air Force bombed heavily populated areas and important targets such as factories and stations. Air raids were the biggest danger to the British. Over 60,000 died in air raids during the war. The hand bell was one of the sounds of an air raid. The ringing of the hand bell let peolpe know the attack was over. Measures 13cm across the diameter of the bell and 23cm in total height. In good condition. The clacker is still present and the bell is very loud! The are a few surface scuffs consistent with age. It bears the marking"Durofol" in a lozenge. Well visible on 2 of my close-up pictures. There is also a marking GPI in a square but I´m unsure what it really means. Original condition- nothing cleaned or refurbished! No cracks or other hidden damages present! The part is in amazing condition and could be used on any German WWII G43/K43. The G43s marked"bcd44" or"ac44" did not so often have(but they do exist. However! this kind of Durofol hand-guard. But if you own a"duv44" or"duv45" or"qve45" marked G43, this is the deal to complete your G43/K43 rifle-stock! This is a real barn-find. Discovered some ... more35 years ago at Clervaux, Luxembourg Ardennes. A necessary. Beautifully preserved original WWII German-made spare to complete your WWII rifle. Grain, etc. used as a filler, formed& compressed under a great deal of heat and temperature, while bakelite is a thermosetting plastic based on phenol resin. Durofol allowed the Germans to use much less phenol resin. Which is a petrochemical by-product, and as such was very important due to the shortage and rationing of oil during the war.
