Vermeer 504c 4x5 round baler
4X5 BALES. LOW HORSEPOWER REQUIREMENT. Been pulling this with a Ford 4100 40 pto hp tractor. I had never baled hay before I bought this baler. I had never even pulled a baler. It has been a rewarding experience. I have baled around 100 bales with it. I got it from a local farmer that had it in his barn and hadn't done hay in a few years. I don't know of and problems with this baler. Of course. It is old and not going to be like a new one. There are some pick up teeth bent or worn and one of the gearbox seals leaks. That is it. I believe Vermeer says it can be used with a 30 horsepower tractor. I have been baling with a Ford 4100. It is 40 pto horsepower. It handles it fine. for sale locally.
