Just in from the barn today! Here I have an ORIGINAL/ INTACT Brass meter from the Pittsburgh Meter Company. The Pittsburgh meter company was formed by George Westinghouse in 1886. The top of this meter reads" KEYSTONE" I am not sure if that is the model name or not. Inside the cover are 2 patent dates. The last being March 8, 1910. The glass is intact and in rather good shape. The inner gasket underneath the glass has disintegrated, so it is" floating" around under the glass. Early meters like this one are harder to find as so many were melted down for the war effort. 1940's-1972 Water Meter Paperweight Vintage water meter cover from 1940's-1972 converted to a paperweight or trinket box. Fabulous original heavy brass. The meter cover measures 2" tall x 3 1/2" across including hinge. The cover reads"Neptune Meter Co. Trident Water Meter New York" with"11828518" engraved in the center. Neptune produced water meters in New York from 1892-1972 until the company moved. This meter dates after 1940 when 6 million meters were sold and 1972 when the firm moved since this is in the 11 million range made in New York. The meter sits on a round wooden plinth that measures 7/8" tall x 4 1/4" across with a maroon felt pad underneath. The entire piece other than some dust is in great condition with very little rust on the inside likely from previous use. Not the same one as in picture, different numbers presently on the dials, but same style, same look. The bluing effect in the pictures is from shadowing- nothing is blue. It looks pretty nice. Black Bakelite Inches Used vintage Water Draft Meter, Black Bakelite Inches Used vintage This is a vintage Black Bakelite Inches Water Draft Meter from the Bacharach Company of Pittsburgh PA USA that is in fair shape. Bakelite shows no chips, cracks or missing pieces. Meter face is not damaged but shows its age but looks nice. Its 7.5" tall, 4.75" across 3.25" front to back. I am selling these as vintage and a display item, if you’re choosing it to use it, please bid appropriately and with care as this is a VINTAGE and used item. Certainly would look great in any MANCAVE or make a great wall decoration in any outdoor or nautical scene. I have added photographs here so check them out.

Vintage water meter casing from New York. Appears to be steel colored metal with a brass coating. Can be seen on base edge. Where paint has worn away or not completely painted over. Piece is about 2" tall. The flat base is slightly wider than the top lid- 3" Top is about 2 3/4" in diameter. Wear commensurating with age to patina.
