Vtg Porcelain Copper Water Meter Face Dial Trident Indust Steampunk Brass Gears
Vintage Porcelain and Copper Water Meter Face with a moving dial. Brass gears and numbered gears! Made by the Neptune Meter Company of New York. It is a Trident model and measured cubic feet. The face is made of white porcelain with an underlying layer of copper which allowed the porcelain to adhere. The rest of the dial is made of brass. Including the small gears that turned the dial and numbers. The dial will turn when the gear on the bottom of the meter face is manually rotated! The porcelain face is beautiful but does have some of the porcelain missing.but the copper shows through and gives it some additional character. There are also some surface cracks and the porcelain face is loose as it sits on the brass base plate. There is a nail/ screw head which is a little loose that may tighten that face down. Vintage Neptune Trident Water Meter Industrial Lamp
This heavy. Solid brass, industrial lamp was originally a water meter used in New York around 1903-1910. An electrician has made this into a simple lamp(using new wiring) and it works great. There is no damage. This is a fantastic industrial piece. The water meter itself is 8.5 inches tall and 8 inches wide at the base. With a bulb in it. It reaches 16 inches high. Although it is heavy. It fits nicely into a flat rate shipping box so the shipping cost will only be $17.

Nice old brass or bronze Trident 5/8 split-case water meter by Neptune Meter Co. Measures about 6-1/4" tall x about 5" diameter at the base. 7-1/2" from end of the threaded inlet to end of the threaded outlet. The lid measures about 3" in diameter& the glass underneath that covers the face, about 2-3/8" in diameter. The unit weighs about 10-1/2 pounds. This is a used unit& it has not been tested by us, but it looks to be in really good condition& it has a nice patina. The top of the lid is marked. Neptune Meter Co" Trident" New York" with a trident in between the word"New" the word"York" It's also marked with serial number"19288770" The base of the case is marked, 5/8 Split Case" IN" on the threaded inlet& OUT" on the outlet. Vintage Water Meter Porcelain Face w/ Dial Gears Steampunk Trident Meter Co
Very Cool Vintage Brass Water Meter Face with Numbered Dials. Made by the Trident Meter Company of New York. It has a single One Cubic Foot measurement dial on the face. The dial and numbers do not currently move but may be coaxed back into movement with some cleaning and/ or oiling of the gears. The white face is made of porcelain with an under layer of copper used to adhere to the brass base. The face is a little loose and moves back and forth about 1/8" but is still firmly attached to the brass base via the pins. The face does have some porcelain missing and some surface cracks but the copper shows through giving it a great vintage look. All of the gears are still in place along with the original pins and gear on the bottom of the meter face. This is a really neat piece with several cool old parts! Please see the photos! 1940's-1972 Water Meter Paperweight Vintage water meter cover from 1940's-1972 converted to a paperweight or trinket box. Fabulous original heavy brass. The meter cover measures 2" tall x 3 1/2" across including hinge. The cover reads"Neptune Meter Co. Trident Water Meter New York" with"11828518" engraved in the center. Neptune produced water meters in New York from 1892-1972 until the company moved. This meter dates after 1940 when 6 million meters were sold and 1972 when the firm moved since this is in the 11 million range made in New York. The meter sits on a round wooden plinth that measures 7/8" tall x 4 1/4" across with a maroon felt pad underneath. The entire piece other than some dust is in great condition with very little rust on the inside likely from previous use. Vintage Trident Neptune brass water meter with iron clamp on base Steampunk
Nice condition brass water meter from Neptune Meter Co. NY. The clamp on base is rusted but is removable(as shown in the last pic) if painting is desired. The gasket was dry rotted that went between the iron base and the bottom of the brass meter. Glass is unbroken. Some discoloration to the brass but good overall condition. I wiped this with Windex but a more thorough cleaning may be desired if used for display. Weighs just over 11 pounds.
