Meter is completely reconditioned, Meter body and bottom plate were both cleaned and painted. Meter chamber, screen, and bottom plate cover on the inside were all cleaned as well. Meter was tested on a certified test bench to meet AWWA New Meter Standards(98.5% to 101.5% Meter works like it's brand new. Nice old brass or bronze Trident 5/8 split-case water meter by Neptune Meter Co. Measures about 6-1/4" tall x about 5" diameter at the base. 7-1/2" from end of the threaded inlet to end of the threaded outlet. The lid measures about 3" in diameter& the glass underneath that covers the face, about 2-3/8" in diameter. The unit weighs about 10-1/2 pounds. This is a used unit& it has not been tested by us, but it looks to be in really good condition& it has a nice patina. The top of the lid is marked. Neptune Meter Co" Trident" New York" with a trident in between the word"New" the word"York" It's also marked with serial number"19288770" The base of the case is marked, 5/8 Split Case" IN" on the threaded inlet& OUT" on the outlet. It's ... morealso marked with identical serial number"19288770" The hinged lid covers a dial under glass, or it might be plastic, I can't say for sure. The glass/plastic has some surface scratches. They were removed in order to place a Larger Meter system for one High Use customer in a Row Store and all the others were these smaller usage meters. Building was not Plumbed corectly for the stores that were in it. It has the TWO Shut Off Isolation Valves included. They will allow meter to be shut off and removed with the Flat Face Seats on both sides of the Meter Body.
