The catalog contains 10 pages of history and description, including an illustration of the vase, and views of the cover and frontispiece of the original sale of the vase in April of 1786. The description is three pages in length and the history is presented in five pages of detail. The Roman cameo glass vase did not meet its reserve. Minor fret wear.barely noticeable on B string.top frets. Plays/sounds very good. Nice clarity/resonance. Has a few nicks on top but again barely noticeable. Has a faint partial outline where pickguard used to be. Top binding has a rough edge/feel in spots. Top is a gloss nfinish.back& sides are satin/matte. Finish problems are very minor on this guitar. Some light bubbling at binding in spots. Some flecks in back/sides. Head stock has a few flecks& a small amount of bubbling around a couple of tuning keys. Bone nut& saddle. Action looks to be around 3/32"s@ 12th fret.maybe a tad higher but very comfortable to play. Auction Find. What appears to be an US Handmade Hammered Dulcimer. 11/12 course, I think. NEEDS WORK. One side pin block has splits in the wood that need either repairs or total replacement and there are several joints that require re gluing to make whole. Appears to be all solid woods and hand made. See photos for detail on defects. BIG, 43 inches across bottom, 21 across top, 18 1/2 inches tall. No case, no hammers, no tuning key, just what you see. Up for auction is a Key to the Steel Square! The framing chart and instruction booklet fit inside the leather"case. Where the case folds. The black on the leather has peeled away, as can be seen in the pictures. There is one of the original owner's names written on the front of the instruction manual. The front of the case says, Key to the Steel Square made by A. W. Woods Lincoln, Nebraska Price $1.60. It is the eighth edition. AMAZING VINTAGE CUCKOO CLOCK CABIN IN THE WOODS, LARGE AND WONDERFUL
Up for your consideration is a fabulous Black Forest Cuckoo clock. This cuckoo clock is a cabin in the forest. It was bought from the Clock House in Spokane in December of 1987. And serviced there again in 2005. I bought from the original owners. I have owned it for about 6 months. This clock is in very good shape. There is not a chip or scratch on it. I do believe it needs to be cleaned again. When I got it home it worked on one wall, but did not work on any other wall. The cuckoo functions right and so do the dancers. This cuckoo measues 14-1/2" tall, is 5-1/2" wide and 5" deep. On the inside works it says Regula, SN A72/7 PL 28.5. The weights measure 7" long and say 1280 ea on them. ANTIQUE 1920 PORCUPINE QUILL AND BIRCH BARK BOX – LAKE OF THE WOODS, ONTARIO
This antique native porcupine quill on birch bark was made in 1920. Skilfully made by either the Ojibway or Algonquin tribe, both located in the Lake of the Woods region of Ontario. Canada. It has a beautiful eight pointed star to the center of the lid. The coloring of the quills is particularly nice. With a light blue dye to the inner parts of the star. It is made in the traditional way. The box measures 3 ¼” in diameter and 2” tall. It is in very good antique condition, with minor breaks to the thread of both lid and body. And a small area of missing quills to the body. The white spots to the underside are bits left from a label and easily removed. Please see photos. This is a wonderful.
