The Sencore TVA92 amplifier is a companion to the Sencore VG91. It enables injection of known good signals to run any stage of a TV or monitor. For what is called the divide and conquer method of troubleshooting. It also has a Qmeter for detecting faults in yokes and transformers. Sencore made really nice expensive test equipment which many could not afford new(this item cost $2400 new) but is now bargain priced for anyone restoring antique(or not so old) TVs or VCRs, without having to take out a 2nd mortgage. Sencore finally bowed completely out of its traditional market which it exploited with what it called"pay as you grow" loans(the 1980s version of subprime test equipment loans) I guess it ran out of excuses pointing to growth of sales of high ticket consumer electronics that should have been repairable but weren't. This is a combination Sencore VG91 Universal Video Generator and TVA92 TV Video Analyzer Set. It came from the stock of a radio. Cb, ham, electronic repair shop that we recently bought out. They are in excellent condition. These is used to troubleshoot and align TV's, FM stereos and other audio and video equipment. The pair together have very extensive test and alignment capabilities. The cases. Handles, pull-out instructions and instrument panels are all in excellent condition. The dynamic test cable and sync cable are included. No manuals are included. I plugged in the units and they powered up. I connected the RF output to my plasma screen TV and was able to display all video test patterns and hear the different audio frequencies on both left and right channels. Here is a Sencore TVA92 Television Video Analyzer. It does have some issues. And when the tester lifted by its handles or placed on it's side a clunk sound is heard. I have two of these testers for sale and this one is the only one that makes the noise. Like something is loose. It needs the VG91(which I do not have) to turn on. So this item is being Sold As-Is and Non-Working or For Parts! It will be shipped in a original Sencore box with form fitted packing material. Excellently working SENCORE TVA92 NTSC TV Tester Analyzer, companion to VG91
Working fine Sencore TVA92. In very good condition(spent most of its life resting on shelf) Best tool ever made for troubleshooting(or at least triaging before scrapping) NTSC TVs and video monitors, but requires a Sencore VG91 to be connected to it. It can supply for injection any signals needed to determine where a problem lies by divide and conquer method. No accessories at low BIN price(designed for expedient way to replace one you might already have that failed) but I have some(or most) available for those buying a TVA92 for the first time. ask.
