This is a late sixties or early seventies Heathkit Model IG-28 color bar and dot generator. I am selling this for a friend that is a retired engineer who has asked me to sell some items he has acquired over the years. I have no idea of it's working condition but was told it did work when last used. It has been sitting around for a lot of years. It's in good condition. But a little dirty. Heathkit Color Bar & Dot Generator Model CD-1
I did not built this unit. It was done very well. Though, compared to many others I have seen. Some of the wire-to- terminal connections could be a little tighter and wire ends trimmed better. The color bar test pattern doesn't look very good. That may have been because of the way I hooked it up. I did not have the correct cable or adapters so there were some unshielded leads and it was out of the case. The parts are all original. Even most of the tubes still have the Heath Daystrom markings on them. I last used it in the late'70's and it worked well. I have not done any analysis or repair on it. I thought someone might want it as it was originally built. I do not have the test leads but it does come with the manual.

Very cool TV Test gear-Hickok 660 This vintage Color Generator is probably from the 1950's. It is the oldest looking one I have seen. It has tubes so I did not attempt to power it up. I have had it for decades and have never put power to it. It looks very good on the inside. It should clean up well. The outside. Cloth covered case, has received a fair share of bumps and bruises. The dovetail joint is loose on the front right where the cloth is missing. I would think it would be easy to add a bit of glue to hold it together. This is a very clean Leader model LCG 388 color bar pattern Generator. All patterns are stable and working. The color killer functions correctly as well. I used it to converge my RCA Victor CTC7 Grenoble and no longer have a need for the unit. All leads are intact as shown. Four color coded leads(one for each gun and black for chassis ground) are in good shape as is the detachable 300 ohm output twin lead. There are also two leads for video output or scope trigger pulses. These ... morefunctions were not tested. The storage compartment has rubber band residue where they deteriorated but this is the only cosmetic issue. The panel markings and case are in great shape and it appears to have had little use.
