The model 465 will check for shorts or leakage between the elements of the tube. It will also indicate between which tube elements the fault exists. 2) The Model 465 will check for the amount of emission from the cathode of a tube 3) The Model 465 will check the cutoff characteristics of a tube 4) The Model 465 will also repair most of the common faults in cathode ray tubes- such as shorts between elements. The foam pad in the storage compartment has deteriorated and I removed the remains because it was making a mess. I have no way of testing the unit for accuracy. Unit is in really great shape with no cracks or dents to the exterior. The inside looks great. The exterior plastic is a little dingy looking and would probably be brought back to life with a little Armor-all. As with all vintage electronics. The only test I made is that set the"Heater Voltage on 3-5" turned on the unit and the red light came on I set it to"2 Adjust Heater" the needled moved up to 4 and I could adjust the"min" Knob up and down and needle went from 3 to 5. B&K Model 465 Cathode Ray Tube Tester With Adapters and Manual. The only test I made is that set the"Heater Voltage on 3-5" turned on the unit and the red light came on. I set it to 0-3"Heater" the needled moved up between 0-3 and I could adjust the"Heater adjust" Knob up and down and needle went from 0-3. That is the second picture. I did this with the other settings 3-5. 5-8, 8-10, 10-13 and each time the needle went up to that range. some of the other pictures show those settings) Item is sold as-is so please ask any questions. When plugged in the red power light turns on. The case is in rough condition. It has duck tape along some of the edges. The latch works. The two manuals are in rough condition. They're dirty. Water stained, warped, dog-eared and torn but still provide the information needed for the machine. The case and unit is dusty and needs cleaning.
