I am selling this for a friend that is a retired engineer who has asked me to sell some items he has acquired over the years. I have no idea of it's working condition but was told it did work when last used. It has been sitting around for a lot of years. It's in good condition. But a little dirty. There are some scratches on the front panel and it's missing one of the rubber feet. The paintwork on the case is good with just some minor blemishes. See the pictures for details. Heathkit Color Bar & Dot Generator Model CD-1
I did not built this unit. It was done very well. Though, compared to many others I have seen. Some of the wire-to- terminal connections could be a little tighter and wire ends trimmed better. The color bar test pattern doesn't look very good. That may have been because of the way I hooked it up. I did not have the correct cable or adapters so there were some unshielded leads and it was out of the case. The parts are all original. Even most of the tubes still have the Heath Daystrom markings on them. I last used it in the late'70's and it worked well. I have not done any analysis or repair on it. I thought someone might want it as it was originally built. I do not have the test leads but it does come with the manual.

For your consideration is this vintage Heathkit Transistor Checker/ Tester Meter Model IT-18 in brown plastic case. Cosmetically this piece of test equipment looks brand new and is in very good condition. The only sign of age is the paper on the inside lid showing various transistors that has some light age yellowing. The meter. Switches and knobs are in very good condition and test leads look new as well. I replaced the single D-Cell battery(new battery included) in the unit and performed the step-by-step calibration procedure I found on the Internet and it is calibrated and appears to be in good working order. The proper calibration resistor is included and attached to the battery clip. I don't have the manual for it, just the calibration process and a schematic I found online, which I will include with it. HEATHKIT T.V. Alignment Generator Model: TS-4A Hello! and thank you for looking at my item. Up for bids is a Heathkit Alignment Generator manufactured by The Heath Co in 1956. This item was not tested but was given a detail inspection. The carrying handle on top of the unit is in tact. The exterior metal case is in good shape with acceptable use and wear marks. All of the writing on the front of the unit is legible. All of the original knobs and dial indicators are present. There is also a crystal plugged into the front of the unit which will be included with the item. All of the knobs lines up properly with the selected settings. Inside of the unit is clean with no burn marks. Wires or smells emitting from the unit. This unit contains 5 tubes. They were removed, tested and reinstalled with no issues(1ea 6BQ7A-tested good, 1ea 12AT7-tested ... morestrong, 1ea 12AX7-tested good, 1ea 6CL6-tested strong and 1ea 6X4-tested strong) Unit is powered on 120AC. The unit was plugged in and the power indicator lite comes on. The units appears to be in working order. The operators manual, test leads and other probes are not present.
