Offered here for sale is a quartz watch with a mother of pearl face. It has numerals at 12. 3, 6 and 9, a sweep second hand and works perfectly. With it is a pair of sterling silver tips of Native American craftsmanship. The tips are marked sterling, but are not signed by the artist. Each tip is set with two opals in sawtooth edge bezels. On each tip, one opal is horizontal and one is vertical. Attached to the tips is an expandable watch band of stainless steel. Everything is in beautiful, previously owned condition. Vintage Southwest Sterling Turquoise Tips & Lorus Watch
This is a Vintage Pair of Southwest Sterling Sterling Turquoise Watch Tips with a Lorus Watch. And an Expansion Band. Based on the size. I would say this was intended as a ladies watch. Each of the tips has a beautiful floral design in high relief with two turquoise cabachon gemstones in sawtooth settings. The tips are not marked. I tested one of the tips to confirm that the tips are sterling(exclusive of the finding where you attach the watch. That appears to be brass or similar metal) The watch tips look like they are possibly Native American made but we do not have the necessary information or documentation to make any specific claims in that regard. The watch. Tips, and band are all in excellent condition and the watch is working and keeps accurate time, with a properly working second hand. Up for Grabs Fish and Have Fun by Howard Modavis A Rutledge Book about 8" X 5-1/2" This is from 1960 and has expert advise from top-flight fisherman on all aspects of fishing. Mr. Modavis was the editor of MACO FISHING ANNUAL back in the mid-century. He fished and both wrote about it and took pictures of it. This is in pretty good shape for a pamphlet style book that is over 50 years old. Use the photos to help you decide it's value- it's"cover price was 25 cents" but I think it has a little more value now as a collector's piece. But. For auction is an older vintage jeweled Mitutoyo.0005" dial test indicator with attachments and extra tips. Travel is.03" in each direction. First I'll start with the bad. The gage glass falls out.I think its worn out? There is also some engraving on the side. Even a date"1983" And lastly the dial seems to turn a little tight/squeaky. Other than that it has normal wear and tear for a tool of its age. In my opinion it is very usable. The needle spring action feels good. The case is in very good condition. As are the attachments. 3) extra indicator tips are included. 2) tips about.040" diameter in factory plastic. 1) tip about.079"diameter. Southwest Pair of Sterling Silver Collar Tips that are Hallmarked PY and after researching the mark I believe the hallmark to be that of the Navajo Silversmith Patrick Yazzie. They measure 1 1/2” from tip to open end, and are just under 1 1/4” wide, and though they not marked Sterling, they were tested by a reliable jeweler and he told us that they were Sterling Silver. They are intricately designed in a raised wing like pattern, curls and silver ball, and contain a large Turquoise Stone and each has the original screw on the back. One of the tips has the hallmark stamped twice, upright and upside down.
