Vintage Copper Brass FMC BACKPACK SPRAYER Plant Insectacide Lawn Bug 1940's/50's
This is a great looking Vintage portable sprayer. I am assuming it is 1940's- 1950's. It was intended for insect. Pest, and crop spraying. Some referring it as an orchard sprayer. It is copper with brass piston and fittings. It measures with piston, 23 inches tall, just tank 17 1/4 inches tall, width of just tank is 14 inches by 7 1/2 at thickest part. This has been restored with, I believe, all original parts except the rubber hose. I have not tested it, but I believe it is fully functional. I am sure this would be useful as a brass décor. Master Gardener 1.2GPM 9 Gallon Battery Powered Rolling Cart Lawn Garden Sprayer
Please read full description before purchasing. This sprayer was purchased new in 2011 the pump failed in 2013 and was fully refurbished in early 2014. The company that rebuilt this unit is no longer in business but parts like the pump. Nozzle, wand and hose that were used in the refurbishing/upgrade are quality name brands. The 1GPM 20PSI disposable type pump was replaced with a brand new heavy duty rebuildable 1.2GPM open flow adjustable pressure. 60PSI max pump with all Viton internals. This pump is larger than the disposable pump so it does not use all the mounting holes as the factory pump. New battery with more than double the capacity of the factory installed battery provides increased runtimes even with the larger and more powerful pump. New automatic battery charger with red/green led lights. To charge the battery. Remove the 4 stainless ... moresteel screws and remove the back cover. Then clip the battery charger to the battery's terminals. The light on the charger will be red. When the light turns green the battery is fully charged. The battery charger can be left on the battery during extended off season storage as it will maintain the battery's charge without overcharging. New high pressure spray hose with new wand. New nozzle, and new check valve to prevent chemical leaking out after the wand is closed. This sprayer was factory equipped with a spray nozzle on the front of the tank to spray chemicals as it was being pulled by a lawn tractor. This spray nozzle and hitch are not included. Only the adjustable hand push/pull hand as pictured is included. The unit was also factory equipped with a coil type hose. This is not included because of the new high pressure pump. The factory spray wand was also replaced because of the high pressure pump, the 2nd holder for the spray wand normally located on the front of the tank cannot be used and was discarded. Vintage Fire Extinguisher Hand Pump Underwriters Labs Metal Yard Lawn Sprayer
Up for sale is this vintage Fire Extinguisher Pump. I believe these could be used as a yard sprayer as well? The worn label reads Underwriter's Laboratories Inc. The Cincinatti Galvanizing Company. It stands approximately 25 inches tall from bottom to handle and the top diameter is approx 10 inches wide. It is made out of a heavy gauge galvanized metal. It has approx. 11 feet of hose including the sprayer nozzle. The rubber exterior hose covering shows dry rot and cracks in a few places. However. The fiber core is intact. The tank holds water. It pumps and sprays water as it should. It sprayed water without having to depress the valve on the wand. So, the seal may need attention. Other than that, it is in fair condition and is being sold"as is" as found. Please see the pictures as they are part of the description and show condition ... morebest. The base is cast iron and the upper parts appear to be brass. They are not magnetic, and at least some that show through the paint are chromed. It looks like the unit was painted by some previous owner. The base is 9 inches in diameter. The arm is 8 ¾ inches long not including the spray heads. It is 6 ¼ inches tall to the top of the highest spray head. There is some numbering and letters molded into the bottom of the base but I can’t read them. It will need a new washer where the hose screws in. The old one is dried out. It spins with my fingers just fine. But I never hooked it to a hose to see if it works in normal use. The nozzles adjust from fine to heavy spray. The center collar also adjusts up and down, but I don’t know what the purpose of this is. It may be to stop the spin.
