TANK HOLDS APPROX 5 GALLONS.THEIR ARE 2 RUBBER LATEX HOSES THAT I REPLACED, PARTS WERE BOUGHT AT A LOCAL DEMCO DEALER.THE HOSES ARE A SPECIAL MADE PART.THEY ARE VERY SOFT AND FLEXIBLE. Demco 3pt hitch boom sprayer & saddle tanks, foam markers
You are viewing a used sprayer I have for sale. It fits on the three point hitch of a farm tractor. It has a boom that unfolded is 35 feet wide. It comes with a set of two saddle tanks and brackets that were last used on a John Deere 4030 tractor. They are designed to be a universal fit and they have a lot of other holes to choose from to use them on different tractors. The bracket bolts to the tractor frame and then the tanks are bolted to racks that slide into the bracket so you can take them on and off easily. The sprayer comes with a electric controller that lets you turn on and off the three sections of the boom independently. It also shows your pressure with a gauge. Nothing fancy. But with a given pressure, you can calculate how fast you need to drive to apply the correct gallons per acre. The sprayer has a foam marker installed so ... morethat you can see where you have already sprayed. It is missing the plastic foam chambers on the end of the boom where the foam comes out. It has the foam marker controller with it- see photos. The tanks look to be in good condition. They were stored inside out of the sun. They hold 200 gallons each. I did not get a pump with this sprayer. It uses a simple PTO roller or centrifigual pump. These also work good with a hydraulic driven pump. You can buy a replacement pump at any farm store. I bought this sprayer from a farmer that replaced it with a new pull type one in 1995. He stored it in his barn and has not used it since. You are buying it that way! I also bought his pull type sprayer and I bought this one in case the other sprayer did not work. The pull type one works good so this one is for sale. I have not tried to use this sprayer or test it in any way. I have not tested the foam marker either. I am sure from being unused for so long you will need to clean and repair this before you can use it. But I am selling it cheap so that you can afford to do so. I think it is around 15 years old with many more years of service left in it. I bought and plumed it(all new hoses) in 2002, it has been kept in the shed up until the past year. It spent last summer tucked under some trees where it has picked up what looks like some mildew, as can be seen in the last photo. Large 2 inch filter, Banjo valves& quick couplers. Nice platform for easy loading.
