VINTAGE LOT COLLECTION OF ELECTRICAL WELLER & UNGAR SOLDERING TIPS NOS NR
NO RESERVE… This auction is for group lot of vintage Weller& Ungar Soldering Tips. These were among many packing boxes of vintage Electronic replacement parts I purchased. All the items came from the estate of a man who had owned a Electronic Parts& Service Shop in Hollywood during the 1960s- 1970s. All the packing boxes were stored in his garage for at least the last 25-30 years. He died about 20 years ago. I am not sure if these parts went directly from the shop into his garage. Or possibly he was also working out of his home. I am not familiar with electronics so I am not sure if they deteriorate with age, or possibly from how they were stored. It will take me a very long time to go thru all the boxes and try to identify the parts. I am going to list the items in different Ebay auctions, as I identify each item. Many items are ... morein little factory boxes that have dried out and maybe falling apart. Please look at my photos closely to determine if there are any needed parts or pieces missing from the item. Please make sure that the item shown is the correct item for that particular box shown. Also look closely at all connections, as there are some with discolored metal connections, and a few with surface corrosion. I do not know if any of these items have ever been previously used or not. If there is not a manufacture name on the item, then I would not know the manufacture name. Any and all items can be combined into one shipping package. Please note many Blakes have had corrosion issues around the bezel glass.Several on ebay have that issue right now. So b-4 you buy check that area out closely. I have sold many of them with that same issue of course informing the buyer in listing. Most wont come with the amount of probes that I am including. If you have never used a co-ax indicator these are a must have cutting down indicating down probably 75 percent of typical indicators. Once you use it once you are hooked. TONY CURTIS' Cowboy BOOTS from NUDIE'S RODEO TAILORS w/ Sterling SILVER Tips W@W
These are Tony Curtis' own boots made for him by Nudie himself. Nudie and Tony were great pals with similar backgrounds- Tony's father was a Polish Jewish tailor. And they both came up in the boroughs of New York City, before coming to Hollywood. Tony loved his'goods' from Nudie's Rodeo Tailors, and was especially fond of his accessories- hats, boots, belts, and gloves. These were purchased at the Tony Curtis estate auction held after his passing at Julien's Auction House. They still have the lot number tag on them. They are in good shape, and are a wonderful collectors item that will only grow in value. I am not sure of the size as these were custom made, and I will not accept a return for fit issues, these are being sold as a collectors/museum piece, if they happen to fit you great, but I am not selling them as'wearing' ... moreboots. Keep that in mind, no returns. That said, here are the measurements- the length of the sole measured from the edge of the heel(cowboy slanted heel) to the tip of the toe is 10.25" The widest part of the sole is 3 3/4" The heel is 2.5" high, and the total height of the boot from ground to top is 15" The widest width of the top is 7.25" You can see from the pictures that Tony loved these boots. And wore them often. They do show wear- these are the real deal- a great pair of Hollywood history. The toe caps are engraved sterling and have a fleur de lis embellishment that I believe is jewelers' bronze. Nudie invented the rhinestone cowboy. And clothed all the greats from John Wayne to Elton John, he made Elvis Presley's famous $10,000 gold lame Nudie Suit, Hank Williams, the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Gram Parsons, Sly Stone, Jimi and Janis and Aretha Franklin- they all shopped at Nudies. This is for a lot of nine bamboo fly rod sections for use as restoration or rod repair. There are three buts. two mids and four tips. One of the butts is for a reversable rod. Two of the butt sections are 32-1/2" and one is 42" The 42" butt is a very nice butt for a 7' two piece rod. It is labeled. Genuine Tonken Cane. HI. Model Meteor. This has a wood grip and reelseat with a sliding band and is in pretty good shape. One mid is 32" and the other is 36" All the butts and mids have the ferrules. Reel seats, and some guides. Not all the guides are present. The longest tip is 36" but there is a crack in the cane near the tip end. The other three tips are 29 to 30" and may or may not be original length. This is for a lot of vintage bamboo fly rod tips. There are ten tips total. They range from 32-1/2" to 36-1/2" long. They all have ferrules and tip tops except one with no tip top. This tip has a ferrule but no guides. All the rest appear to have all the guides on them. The two tips at the top of the photos have an issue. The light colored tip has a repair wrap about 4" from the tip. It is well done and almost invisible. The other one is the one with no guides and has a separation about 3" long in the cane about half way up. I don't know if it is separated or a piece of cane is missing. The other eight tips are good. They appear to be full length. There do not appear to be any tips that where broken at the tip top end. Possibly one may have been shortened at the ferrule end. Not sure. The two tips with the blue tape ... morearound them are a matching pair of tips. Some of These tips need some straightening. The finish is good on some and some the finish is worn. Vintage Bamboo Fly Rod Tips - Middle Section - Store Box - Parts - Maker Unkown
I have these old bamboo fly rod tips and the box they came in at one time and I have absolutely no use for them. Hoping perhaps there are some rod restoration folks tuning in who may see this as an opportunity to grab some pieces to get an old rod back in working order. First let me describe the tips: Two of them are the same. The OD of the male ferrule end is 0.200 inches for these two smaller tips. Another tip has an OD I measure at 0.290(0.300? inches. All three of these tips measure 32-1/2 inches overall. Then there is a middle section also. It measures 33 inches. the male ferrule is 0.300 inches and the female is 0.200 inches. The box is rough but functional. It has little functional value but these were in it so I am selling as a package. It is a novelty at least! Not the missing strips of veneer. see photos. it is not perfect but it ... moreis a perfectly OK old tip box.
