Tektronix 492BP Spectrum Analyzer w/Front Cover and Accessories It has been a couple of years since I used this last. I am not an RF guy so glean what you can from below. This is something I had as part of my personal lab but I had no real application for… It does appear to be functional. Passes self cal, works as a spectrum analyzer, and the display seems OK. All the buttons do do something. I recall thinking that the amplitudes were off at the higher frequencies(I had a 26GHz sweeper at the time) good enough equipment to think that something is off, but not good enough to do something about it; these are not trivial to calibrate. The option plate is blank. Not sure if options 1, 2, and 3 were simply included with this, I think it has them; do some research. It does have the gpib port on the back I probably did replace any obviously bad ... morecapacitors. A very common issue with these, and almost certainly replaced the capacitors that are know to go bad in the power supply. The display looks excellent with the blue filter only. The wire mesh filter works with or w/o the blue filter. But doesn’t look so great. If I was using this I would probably remove the wire mesh from the front bezel, modify so that if needed it could be re-installed. You probably wont be staring into it on 8 hour shifts. There is even a second wire mesh with bezel included, so I would definitely modify one of them. And also ncluded is a second used wire mesh filter that someone did remove from a bezel(not included) There is a 50-75 ohm matching pad. Dc block that are Tektronix parts, related cabling that is Tektronix as well. The diplexer is present but I have never used it, I think it came with the scope. The included fat cable that I used for cal is not a flexible test cable, just something I had, the fittings are low quality. The front cover is not original to the analyzer.
