The cannon barrel measures approximately 21" in length and the item is 16 1/4" tall when the cannon barrel is in a level horizontal position. The cannon is on its original matching nickel plated bronze base which can be screwed to a deck via four base plate screw holes and the yoke can be rotated and locked into position with a thumb screw on the shaft. Old auto theft device for spoked wheels in non- working condition. Device is open and moves fine but the lock is positioned so it will not close. Has it's original Corbin lock with no keys. Inside is cast: 5W CORD on both sides. This lock was made to go around a large tire/wheel. At it's widest point the opening would measure 5 1/2" if it were closed and lengthwise it's 6 3/4" not counting the notch for the lock. Outside dimensions are 11" by 6 5/8" Original burgandy paint is decent but there are lots of spots where it is missing. Up for bids on this page without a reserve price is a very scarce Hemingray No.19 CD162 signal insulator that is a red amber color. The skirt seems to be more on the dark orange side of red. My skirt pic showing the embossing look much more orange then actual. Trick of my camera added extra orange. The dome is a very deep red. Maybe ox blood color. I'm no expert on colors. A couple of with are on the ridge of the domes base. Two obvious sharp drip points under the front skirt are sheared off. I count a total of 4 other drips that have slight flaking on the inside that are not visible when displaying. Two of those on the rear skirt have a hard to notice light bruise restricted to the lower base. That you won't even see when displaying from the No.19 side. Both men were graduates of MIT. Offered is a vintage signed. CLK heavy plastic and aluminum compass with signal mirror in good condition. The base is 2 3/4" by 2 1/5" with a 1 3/4" glass covered dial. The black enamel aluminum hinged top has the signal mirror on the inside. The compass seems to work ok and has a needle lock when the top is closed. I've noticed the needle will sometimes sit sideways on it's pivot and a light tap on the side corrects this. I believe the compass to be of german origin. Hello. And welcome to this week's auction event! This lot is an original and beautiful color U. S. Army photograph Signal Corps File number C7014 as marked on the reverse. Image of a nuclear bomb test. Size is 11 X 14" on"EKC" photo paper. Condition is unframed. Slight waviness, minor corner bumps, small edge tear top right. Please use the close-up function to examine the photograph. Notice the tiny pucker within the mushroom cloud. I had to stitch two scans together, so please forgive the horizontal stitch line.
