This unit covers a frequency span from 1-1250 MHz and with the frequency extender it spans 1250 MHz to 2500 MHz. Total hours on this unit are probably less than 50. It looks and operates like new and has always been stored inside our office closet. We have sold our business and are liquidating excess equipment. This unit has two 6 volt batteries connected to make 12 volts. They are the original batteries and will need to be replaced. I have seen them listed on the internet from $8- $13 each. There is a 28" straight antenna which mounts on the main unit and works great for AM/FM radio. The extender unit has a power plug which plugs into the main unit. It also has two antenna ports for external antennas. 1 for 0-1250 MHz and a second for 1250-2500 MHz. Included is a powered 2.4 GHz antenna adapter(power is provided from a front mount connection on the extender unit) which is then connected to the 1250-2500 MHz antenna connector. It will provide a +20dB Gain. Another extension cable and N splitter are also included. The analyzer. Frequency extender, and accessories are all encased in a tough, heavy duty, and attractive black canvas bag. It has heavy duty zippers on both the top and bottom for access to the unit so that it can be used while mobile or on location. AVCOM PTR-25A Portable Test Receiver
The reason I have it listed as-is. For parts is because it is missing the carry handle, the socket for the AC cord is broken off its' mounting ears, and the tuning knob is pushed in a little which makes it a little tricky to tune. But as you see from the pictures. it does seem to work. It recieves Channel 20 analog here in Chicago quite well even without an antenna! It comes with the soft case pictured, Oh and I don't think the battery is in it. if it is, then it is probably dead anyways.

The unit will receive unmodulated carrier which can be seen in one of the photos where the CRT has a gray screen and signal strength is displayed. Nice Avcom Portable Spectrum Analyzer. 1MHz to 1000MHz. The tube is very bright and crisp. The counter is accurate. The unit has famous Avcom sensitivity(for bug hunting. Etc) The photo shows LA County Sheriff radios on 483.xxx, received with a Sennheiser TV band UHF collapsible whip(included) After warm-up drift is negligible. No birdies were noted in ham bands, aeronautical nor the public services bands where I had signals available. The audio demodulator and up-firing speaker work well. A heavy nylon bag and power cord are also included. 2[ea] dead 6V 3A gelcell batteries have been removed and the DC fuse holder is incomplete. Thanks for looking.
