This setup is also useful if you want a tracking frequency offset from the SA setting and the Tek TR501 tracking generator fits into Tek TM502 TM503 TM504 TM506 TM515 or tm5003 tm5006 cabinet. This unit appears to be in good physical condition. The unit powers up properly I hooked the LO inputs to a 7000 series spectrum analyzer(7000 units cannot be set to max span) sweep control set to zero span(7000 series and 49x series are set to manual sweep) and hooked the output to a counter to show the frequency setting I will have pictures of the unit hooked to a 2792 in a bit. Tektronix 492 Spectrum Analyzer Very good condition. Options 1, 2 and 3 installed. Current calibration. A typical Tektronix 492 in very good condition. Unit is fully operational. All controls functional. Good sensitivity, display bright, clear and focused. Unit is currently in calibration and checks out fine. Pictures show calibration signal at 100MHz after warmup using factory calibration signal. Front and rear panels in excellent condition, fan strong and quite. All input and output points protected/covered. Handle works as it should with no missing parts. This unit's power supply has been upgraded with new caps and now has better specs than the original model and no noise/AC leakage problems. We have used this analyzer in our shop, it is currently in perfect operational condition. Unit has been calibrated and tested for: Operation, ... morecalibration, shock, environmental and other possible failure modes with excellent results. This is one of the newer 492 models with serial number B055579 build at the Tektronix facility in Beaverton, Oregon. This unit has no corrosion, rust or other damage that is evident of shipboard or field use. When we recondition a 49x series. We perform the following as needed: Replace all high voltage power supply caps Check and tighten all internal signal path connectors Test and replace coaxial ralays(if needed) Complete internal cleaning Check fan operation Align per Tektronix including CRT adjustments Clean& service all front panel buttons/controls Replace any worn control knobs Strip and repaint case with Tek Blue paint Service handle& mechanism Align front end and IF Align/set levels and spans Check for excessive drift and correct if needed Some small dings rubs on the bezel(see pics) but that's about all. Nothing serious, hardly noticable. Cosmetically very nice, 9 out of 10. This unit has not been used in a number of years. But is in excellent condition and has been stored indoors in a dry environment. The unit powers up OK and displays a clear s ignal on the CRT. It was last calibrated in August of 2003 and basically has not been used since. Please note that the included plastic cover has been cracked and a corner piece has been broken off. See photos. That piece is included and the purchaser should be able to glue it back together if desired. This listing includes the power cord.
