Hi. I am selling my BSR 4000XR Equalizer. I bought it on Craigslist and have used it a bit and it works perfectly. Everything functions as it should and it looks terrific. The front face is flawless. The only flaws I can find are the fact that the BSR logo light is burnt out(like pretty much all of these units) and a dent in the back panel as shown in the pics. The RCA jacks above this dent are a little crooked but work perfectly. Other than that just the usual wear and tear associated with a piece from 1987 or so. Also included is the original box. I fed my signal generator thru this at 50 ohm with the 50 ohm setting and my amplitude readings were perfect just as if it was a standard 50 ohm only analyzer. and with 1.8 ghz you really dont need to have an N connector. bnc works just fine up to 1.8 ghz without any loss.

If you see one on ebay for less make sure they tell you the year model. it makes all the difference. the later model has the most recent firmware and motherboards so you dont deal with any glitches. Plus the cpu is twice as fast as the first few year models. First I realigned the loda amplitude and dual mixer alignment on the a14 board. Then realigned the yig/yto and cal out freq which calibrates the frequency accuracy across the spectrum, then performed the ytf realignment which calibrates the amplitude and preselector, then complete flatness calibration and realignment according to the service manual. this unit performs like new in regards to amplitude, attenuator, and frequency accuracy. my cal is much better than any cal lab's calibration because I run all the manual adjustments. they only run it thru a software program and realign the freq response(f
