It has a thick Bulls Eye glass lens and has wire folding handles to stow lamp when not in use. This lantern is all original including the original burner inside. The signal device works by using the button below to slide a door back and forth. The owner created a wire that will allow the spring loaded door to stay open when used as a camp lantern. This action allowed the Army. Navy and commercial sailors or lighthouse keepers to signal boats with coded messages. Vintage Antique Federal Sign and Signal 12V Model WLRG Firetruck Siren
This Siren came off of a 1973 International Firetruck. Siren is in operational condition. Not sure if the lights work. They did when they came off the truck, but the siren has been sitting in a barn collecting dust so assume they don't work. There is a small dent in the top of the housing and the siren need some screws to attach the cowl of the siren to the rest of the housing. You will need short screws because if you use long screws, it will keep the siren from working as it blocks the rotation of the motor. That's all I can think of. PLEASE READ ENTIRE DESCRIPTION AND LOOK AT ALL PICTURES BEFORE BIDDING! Up for bid is this genuine hard to find CC1 controller removed from a CHP vehicle. I found this while cleaning out a section of my old collectable parts. I had a few of these at one time and thought I had sold them all off over the years but this one fell thru the cracks and is the only one I have so don't think I will be listing any more. If you are restoring a SSP Mustang from that time frame this is something you will need to complete your restoration. These were custom made for the C.H.P. by Federal Signal and were used in a variety of vehicles including the famous SSP Mustang. These were reused for a number of years then phased out. Below is a little history on the CC1. In June 1982. The CHP entered into a contract with Federal Signal of Chicago to produce a ... morecustom siren/lighting control console for the patrol cars. This model was the CC1* which controlled the MPA2 siren amplifier(100 Watt) Shortly after installation, many of the CC1* consoles were modified to include an extra switch and a blue pilot light on the upper edge, which was used only in cars equipped with the Federal Jetsonic light bars. To cut-off the front lights on the light bar. The blue pilot lamp was to warn the officer that the front-facing lamps were in the"disabled" mode. This modification was not made on the CC1* used in cars with"slick-tops" no light bar) and Mustangs. Like the PA-1000 8Z before it. The CC1* did not feature the"Yelp" mode as a front panel switch option, although it was technically available via the horn ring switch(Federal called this the"Tap II" mode) depending upon the wiring arrangement chosen. It is believed the CC1* was only supplied to CHP as no other agency has been found which used them. It almost looks as if the"VOL" slide control is missing a knob, which could have been fitted, but that's the way they were delivered. I have for sale an old electric train signal. It is about 6.5 inches tall and I'm not really sure who the manufacturer is whether Marx or Lionel or? A collector would know better than me. It came from my grandparents home after they died in the 1970's and has been in storage ever since. It has a spot for 3 bulbs but has no bulbs at this time.
