~VINTAGE MID CENTURY 1953 UNRESTORED MENOMINEE SIGNAL COOL SPOT 16 INCH ELECTRIC FAN~ Up for bid is the last true Signal electric fan. It is a 1953 16 inch 3 speed oscillating Cool Spot model 1649. The Company started as Menominee Electric. In 1919 the company reorganized as Signal Electric Company and made their first fan in 1926. The year 1954 saw them get bought out by King-Seeley Thermos Company. Then become a Division of King-Seeley and by 1958 the electric fan line was gone. 1964 King- Seeley shut down Signal. While they were in business they made High Quality Fans. The fan is 21 inches tall, 17 inches wide, all metal construction, and done in a Hammered and Wrinkle finish Green. The cast Aluminum base is free from cracks, breaks, or chips. There a few very tiny spots of missing paint from age. The polished Chromium Steel guard does ... morenot have any bent wires or broken welds. The Aluminum blades are free of dents or creases. There are some very small spots of paint wear from age and use. The stamped steel motor cover does not have any dents or creases but does have some paint loss. The head wire was replaced with a vintage style twisted cloth wire to match the original. The motor and gearbox were cleaned, inspected and new grease was put in the gear box along with motor being oiled. The fan was tested for over 2 hours. It performed and oscillated with no problems(Please See Video) The 3 speed switch was cleaned and functions properly. The original power cord is in great shape with no issues. The overall condition of this vintage electric fan is excellent considering its age and usage. This is a powerful fan that moves a lot of air efficiently and is stylish. Signal Corps I-177-B Mutual Conductance Tester W/NOS HS-16A Headset!
For sale is a used Signal Corps I-177-B Dynamic Mutual Conductance tester"and" a NOS/NIB HS-16A headset. This tester is in good working condition overall. I acquired it recently with little history so performed the following procedures: Put it on a variac and started at 40 volts to 120 volts over a two day period. Replaced the fuse bulb with an NOS bulb(after I broke the original working bulb) Tested a sample of tubes including rectifier and power in 80% of the sockets and compared results to my calibrated(by Dan Nelson) TV-7D/U tester. Performed a light surface cleaning In general I would say the tubes tested on the I-177-B came out a little lower(5%15% than my TV-7. However I have 3 calibrated TV-7's and this one is the higher testing of the three. In other words, the I-177-B wasn't very far off the mark. The tester does ... moreshow signs of light oxidation and a few paint chips, but the sockets were tight and made good contact. The original documentation is very weathered but usable. The power cord is very pliable and should not need to be replaced. The metal case is decent with no major damage/dents. Serial Number is#6693. The headset as you may know was originally intended to test for noise on these testers as well as TV-7's and Hickok 539's. I have never performed this type of test but might give it a try. Your headset will come in an original unopened paper foil package. The one you see pictured is one my others so you can get the idea. ORIGINAL WW2 US ARMY SIGNAL CORPS FIELD PHONE EE-8-B LEATHER CASE
Up for bid is an Original World War II United States Army SIGNAL CORPS Field Phone Model EE-8-B in Leather Case. It is in good condition for it's age. But does show signs of wear and use that can be seen in pictures taken. It still has the original phone and battery compartment, but does need a new cord and could be rewired if desired. The inside looks fairly clean and the shoulder strap is in tact. It is stamped with the Model Number and the US Armey Signal Corps on the front. The flap button is missing a piece of the clasp and does not close. The field phone in the case measures 9 1/2" tall and 8" wide. This is a very nice historical piece. Many items were parts only. Like this Retainer Ring for a dome on a model 143 Beacon Ray. Someone that is restoring a set will need it. Includes original badge. Most of the marks that are seen may come off with some wool. But, the long angled looking marks look to be from a wire that was loose and grounding on the chrome. It is mild but there. There are 2 small dings on the very bottom only(last 2 photos) I did not spend much time on it at all. If you are not happy. I will allow a return. Diameter is 8 3/8 inches. I tested this system and all the bulbs are good and the motor turns quietly. The lights turn off and on in the sequence they are supposed to. This light comes as in photo. No dome and no collar. I believe everything on the chrome will come off with some steal wool. I have a few of these and gave it only a fast touch up for the pics. I hit a spot of the bulb cases and the light surface corrosion there cleaned right off. I have no time to spend doping the details. But. I am sure it will clean up nice. Here we have a fine electrical item. From Wavetek the Sam III digital signal analysis meter, with soft case. This appears to be in very good shape overall, the case is also in pretty good shape, this was plugged in with supplied cord, powers up, VU meter appears to function, some lights came on and the LCD panel was showing some numbers, but since we really dont know what this is for, we could test it no further. Comes with power cord, and a short cable for some other testing maybe? we dont know, but what we do know is this is a must have for the signal analysis meterer that you may know. HERE'S A WAY ABOVE AVERAGE EARLY WW II FT 151-C MOUNTING BASE FOR YOUR BC 348 RECEIVER. This one says"FT 151-C order 1780 NY 41 RCA Mfg Co Camden NJ USA" Condition is VG +. Both plates are in nice shape with good wrinkle finish and SC orange stamp as well as good original tag. The bottom of lower plate has been repainted in correct wrinkle finish.All mounting rubber is nice and live.And mounting cups are in fine shape with no rust or corrosion.All the mounting bolts and hardware are also all original and in fine condition. This is an early production run base and wiil go nicely with some of the rarer early run BC 348s Of course it will fit basically all models.Item can be shipped in USPS Large flat rate box.
