CRT looks much better in person. its blurred in the pics because the camera lens was dirty. there is some mild screen burn but nothing that would make you annoyed or fault your readings. just very minor and normal and at the bottom only, This is a 30 hz to 2.9 ghz hp spectrum analyzer. But with the optional mixers, you can achieve 50ghz + testing! or even up to 110 ghz with other mixers we calibrated it all manually. the flatness is insanely accurate. within.17 db error only! spec is 2 db. you can see it in one of the pics. there should be 18 pics. if they dont load just wait. this is a NEWLY REFURBISHED 8560E model spectrum analyzer with brand new calibration and certificate/sticker traceable to nist. the pics dont look that clear because after I took all of the pics I realized my lens was dirty. The unit functions nicely. It also has OPTIONS 1 and C10. OPTION 1 is a VU response characteristic and the meter has a“VU” designation accordingly(Pic#4) OPTION C10 is a duplicate set of input/output terminals on the rear panel. These terminals are basically in parallel with the front ones. This feature works especially well in a rack mounted environment where connections can be made to other racked equipment without needing to bring cables to the front panel(Pics#11& 12) Testing reveals the rear connections perform identical to the front ones. Speaking of rack mounting. This unit has the front rack mounting ears as well as the feet and wire stand(Pic#10) ... morefor bench top use. a truly LOADED unit. This is the first unit we have run across with the C10 option. It measures audio THD +Noise. It is an analog measurement tool. Not a digital device. The side trim rails are a bit scratched from handling but the general cosmetics are quite nice. The front panel looks good with the exception of some scratches between the Function and Sensitivity controls(Pic#2) The top cover shows some minor scratches and rub marks from equipment stacking(Pic#9) We are not the original owner. There are no cracked knobs and the controls have a nice. Firm feel. A LINECORD IS PROVIDED with this unit but not shown. No manual. Test cables or anything else is provided. We did a spot check at 60. 100, 1000, 10000 and 20000 Hz using our Leader LAG-125 generator. The 334A got down to.016% using the auto-null which we feel is very respectable. I have sold this once before and it was returned because my customer said that there was a channel 2 flatness error and that it fails the conf tests. I have powered this up. Upon power up the RF section and Auto Cal off messages are displayed. It passes the power up function tests. I do not have the means to test this further. There are no floppies for this system.
