Hewlett-Packard HP 8755C Scalar Analyzer with HP 180TR Oscilloscope Mainframe I purchased the 180TR Mainframe from Tucker Electronicsas a refurbished and calibrated unit. It's in very good condition. Both cosmetically and functionally. I purchased the 8755C separately. It is also in good condition. Both cosmetically and functionally. It is completely functional electrically. As I verified by running it through its Performance Tests as described in the Operating Manual. The second to last photo shows the displayed sweep changing by 10 db/division on the screen as the reference level switch for channel 1 is stepped from +40 dBm to-40 dBm. To make this picture. I used an 11664E detector to measure the output of an 8340B set to CW at 1 GHz but continuous sweep turned on, at a power level of 0 dBm. The last photo shows the output of the 8340B ... moreas it sweeps between 10 MHz and 2 GHz. Note that channel 1 on the 8755C is set to 0.25 dB/division. This is a nice instrument. And I hate to let it go, but I have too much stuff, and this is excess to my needs. Note: for the purposes of illustration. I only applied a swept input from 10 MHz to 2 GHz, but the range of the 8755C only depends on the detector you use- for example, if you use an 11664E, it will go up to 26.5 GHz. HP 8510 8510C 45MHz-26.5GHz Vector Network Analyzer, 8515A, 83631B, Full Setup
Great network analyzer. Runs like a champ. S11 and S22 performance is-25 to-30dB uncalibrated. Calibration repeatability is greater than-45dB when using a f-f 3.5mm adapter and another precision termination. The 8360-series sweeper is extremely robust and reliable. The setup has many years of life left. System comes with all interconnect cables, but not the termination. I have a 3.5mm verification kit that I can include if you ask. The ec model is the last 6 series model and started in 1999 and ended in 2004 for production. the regular e series started in 1992 and went til 1999. First I realigned the loda amplitude and dual mixer alignment on the a14 board. Then realigned the yig/yto and cal out freq which calibrates the frequency accuracy across the spectrum, then performed the ytf realignment which calibrates the amplitude and preselector, then complete flatness calibration and realignment according to the service manual. this unit performs like new in regards to amplitude, attenuator, and frequency accuracy. my cal is much better than any cal lab's calibration because I run all the manual adjustments. they only run it thru a software program and realign the freq response(flatness) at most(if that) other companies like tmi just look at it and certify it automatically without even testing it thoroughly.
