CRT looks much better in person. its blurred in the pics because the camera lens was dirty. there is some mild screen burn but nothing that would make you annoyed or fault your readings. just very minor and normal and at the bottom only, This is a 30 hz to 2.9 ghz hp spectrum analyzer. But with the optional mixers, you can achieve 50ghz + testing! or even up to 110 ghz with other mixers we calibrated it all manually. the flatness is insanely accurate. within.17 db error only! spec is 2 db. you can see it in one of the pics. there should be 18 pics. if they dont load just wait. this is a NEWLY REFURBISHED 8560E model spectrum analyzer with brand new calibration and certificate/sticker traceable to nist. the pics dont look that clear because after I took all of the pics I realized my lens was dirty. It measures audio THD +Noise. It is an analog measurement tool. Not a digital device. The side trim rails are a bit scratched from handling but the general cosmetics are quite nice. The front panel looks good with the exception of some scratches along the top edge(Pic#1 and#9) The top cover shows some minor scratches and rub marks from equipment stacking(Pic#9) We are not the original owner. There are no cracked knobs and the controls have a nice. Firm feel. We noticed the meter frame above the word“Function” is chipped but not objectionably(Pic#4) A LINECORD IS PROVIDED with this unit but not shown. No manual. Test cables or anything else is provided. ... moreWe did a spot check at 60. 100, 1000, 10000 and 20000 Hz using our Leader LAG-125 generator. The 334A got down to.018% using the auto-null which we feel is very respectable. Near the best our generator can do. Please note picture#5. It shows the residual THD + Noise at 1 KHz. Please note that the low cut filter on the 334A was NOT turned on… very impressive indeed. We feel confident that the winner of this auction will not be disappointed. This HP 334A is known to be nicely functional and not just merely power up. This machine is configured to be used as an 8922P. Using an external converter. To accomodate this configuration, the attenuator that is normally in the RF IN/OUT path is bypassed. Without the 83220 converter connected, the machine displays a warning to the operator that the converter is not connected and the 8922 by itself cannot handle the input power expected from a cellular telephone under test. Notwithstanding, the 8922M understands that the 83220 converter is not in the signal path and the levels are accurate. This machine fully passes the power on self test.
