Then realigned the yig/yto and cal out freq which calibrates the frequency accuracy across the spectrum, then performed the ytf realignment which calibrates the amplitude and preselector, then complete flatness calibration and realignment according to the service manual. this unit performs like new in regards to amplitude, attenuator, and frequency accuracy. my cal is much better than any cal lab's calibration because I run all the manual adjustments. they only run it thru a software program and realign the freq response(flatness) at most(if that) other companies like tmi just look at it and certify it automatically without even testing it thoroughly. Haven't you always wanted a high-end spectrum analyzer but couldn't justify the $20K or even the $2500 ones? Here's your chance to have one with just a couple of quirks that really don't affect amateur needs. This is my backup analyzer and I just upgraded the HF so I need to shed some extra weight so here's a real bargain. This unit has two problems.1. The CMOS battery is bad meaning initital power-on settings are not saved nor is the date/time. It will. However, retain stored set-up memories and copy to disk. 2. Somtimes several parameters fail in the initial boot, but measurements in every frequency domain I have used(7 Mhz through 2.4 Ghz) for amateur radio and WiFi are well within useable values when compared to other calibrated analyzers or freq counters. Oddly enough, I have tried without luck to duplicate the FAILURES ... moreand can only get full SUCCESS on boot up. Bear in mind this has ONLY a 10 Mhz bandwidth and is MOST usefull in checking transmitter performance. It is a really beautiful machine and for amateur or experimental work it functions fine.
