These are used Sunbeam Stewart Sheep Shears Animal Clippers that I bought at a 5 acre estate farm auction. It has 2 heads. Currently the sheep shearing head is on the unit. Sheep shear head is model EW311A and the clipper head is 510A. On the box it has date from hardware store 1/05/72. So was new in 1972. Seems to run good. I take my clippers to the clipper repair and service shop to have them all checked out before I list them. These are exactly how they were returned to me. Just to double check, I plugged them in, turned them on and tested them for myself and sounded fine and all looks to be in good shape with the exception of some tiny minor cosmetic scratches on plastic body and metal. A few spots on outside of blade. I can't tell if there is any oil left in tube or not. Also includes booklets and brush. He said" these clippers are in VERY GOOD condition! He Oiled& Greased Head and Sharpened the Oster Blade 1554-01. P1082 set. He also said you may have to adjust the tensioner to your liking when you start clipping. But did work in a wool scouring mill in Woonsocket, RI where we washed and processed raw wool we received in bales, so am familiar with it's"by ... moreproducts" It was pretty caked with lanolin and wool. The motor body wasn't horrible, so I just cleaned that up a little without disassembling it. I did however remove the head, disassembled it and gave it a pretty good clening. It's not perfect, but 90% better, and working perfectly. The retaining wire shown in picture 11 was broken, so I ordered a new one and replaced it. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT: The nut that holds that wire on(see picture 12) was swedged onto the machine screw. It was a bear getting off. I had to grind the sides of the screw head so I could get vise grip on it to remove the nut. I DID NOT SWEDGE IT BACK DOWN, SO IT MUST BE ADDRESSED BEFORE USE OF IT WILL VIBRATE OFF AND CAUSE INJURY OR DAMAGE TO THE TOOL. I bought a new screw, but the nut seemed fine. I didn't swedge it down because I don't have the proper tools to do so, plus I thought you may want to use a quality thread lock so it will remove easier if you have to disassemble it in the future. Here is a set of sheep shears marked Stewart Shearmaster by Oster. They have been used a but but I plugged them in and they run just fine. It has a nice long cord that looks to be in good condition. Also includes the original instruction manual and one extra intake screen. The blades are a bit stained from age. The tips of 2 of the tines are broken off. See pictures. Doesn't look like it will affect use. I saw on ebay a number of sources for extra blades for Oster shears. Included is a stretcher for the rubber bands used on young rams.
