This is part of an antique vintage Chicago Flexible Shaft Stewart Clipper shearing machine. The clipper themselves are not present. Nor is the bottom of the stand. This is just the crank assembly. i000000. Vtg Antique Stewart Hand Crank Sheep Shears Leather Lace Grip Wool Goat Clippers Description These are marked Stewart on the blade. The hand crank machine these came off of is marked Eclipse. These appear to still have most of its original leather laced grip. These shears do work. I was able to turn the shaft by hand and the blades seem to work as they should, it could use some cleaning and oiling though, these have been stored for years. The blades and teeth appear free of chips and show no breaks, they and some of the other metal appears to have some sort of dry waxy coating on them perhaps a type of protectant applied many years ago. Antique sheep Stewart Clippers, hand crank, cast iron, VERY RARE! Tool Collector
This is a very Awesome piece of history and VERY RARE! These sheers are all there. The Hand crank works. The gears all turn. The sheer blades don't work. But I would say if you tear it apart you could make it work. The only thing broke on this is a couple teeth on the guard of the sheers. It does have rust. But this is just a really amazing piece. It is in really good condition for it's age. It still has the Stewarts badge on the gear box The legs are in perfect shape besides some rust. Posted with
