This yellow cloth drawstring bag held a large reel, but has since been used to hold bolts or tools or something along those lines. It measures 12" side to side and 13.5"deep. This is a Penn International Tuna Stick model 2920 ALS. It is used and measures 6 ft in length. 12-20 LB test, AFTCO low profile guides all the way up and AFTCO roller tip, AFTCO aluminum reel seat, slick butt, and gimbal. This rod is used and I am selling because I think the reel seat unglued itself from the actual rod blank. When I am reeling in a fish, the rod and guides slide to the left or right. Then I have to hold the reel and twist the foam foregrip to line up the rod again with the reel. It's not too bad, but with a fish on, it will slide to either side. PENN INTERNATIONAL 12 Saltwater Fishing Reel in really nice shape with just a little corrosion on the center of the spool and some very minor boat rash. The typical top bar has either been replaced with the anodized black aluminum one or possibly this is the way it came. Also the gold anodized aluminum handle I think might be unique? I can't be sure. But I am thinking that this might have been a prototype of the PENN 12? I replaced the chrome rod clamp with a modern plastic/graphite one. For all of you Penn collectors, the serial number on this is H781298. Maybe someone out there can tell me if this is indeed one of the prototypes for this model? Everything works fine and I had this one professionally serviced a couple years ago. Fished once since then but rinsed well, sprayed with wd-40 and drags backed off just after. Penn International 12 on Star Rod USA Made
This is a Penn International 12 on an American made Star rod. This rod has a roller at the top and bottom. The top roller is an AFTCO so I assume the bottom roller is as well. The rod is 71 inches long which is not quite six feet. Written in the rod is"USA B. 50/100 HC Tom Caberizo" I do not know who Tom Caberizo is. The reel seems to work well but has a scratch on one side and some other very minor scratches. The eyes on the rod might have some minor tarnish here and there but turn freely. Nothing a little TLC won't fix! Rod and reel will have to be shipped separately.
