Here is a very large and heavy variable DC power supply 250 volt 10 amp. I believe made by Western Electric. There is no tag or label, don't know model number, or even if is a regulated power supply. With a model 236BU Powerstat variac, and 2 meters for 0-10 DC amps and 0-250 DC volts. I hooked up to 220 volts and got 220 volts output, and tested under load and works fine. Heavily fused with 6 fuses(4 on panel and 2 in the WE J86738A-1L1 power supply) And with 2 timers, not sure what they keep track of. I've used this variac on my bench for several years. I just got another one so this is not surplus for me. NOTE: The Wattmeter does NOT work. The volts and amps work great. I never cared about the wattmeter since you could just multiply the volts times the amps. But I never even really needed to do that. The fuse for the wattmeter is good. The unit shows some wear. But is built like a tank. The rubber power cord should probably be replaced too.

This item came to me in a large lot of surplus electronics equipment from the state of California. It is in good condition with scuffs and marks showing normal usage. Please check all of the photos. The first photos with the meter connected. Are with the variac in the 0- 120 volt position. If you look at the switch in the first photo with you meter, you can tell it is in the down position, which 0- 120 volts. There is a another center tap connection via a connector board mount between the full voltage taps. I used this successfully the few times I used it. I believe it is an 8 amp. But may be a 10 amp model. I tested the variable voltage tap for voltage change and it worked fine. I did not have any loads to test it with current.

Stancor variable transformer 3PN1010 variac line 120v for tube amps testing used
This listing is for a single Stancor 3PN1010 Variable transformer. It is used but I have tested it and inspected the contact andit all works and looks great. It was removed from another larger piece of equipment. The original manufacturer removed the voltage selector switch and clipped the leads on the pilot light. It therefore will not output anymore than what is put in. So 120 volts in is the maximum out. You probably know these are great for working on electronics or as a motor speed control on universal type motors or anywhere you want to control the line voltage.
